Popular breakfast spot. There was like over 50 people in there at the time we we dined. And 7-8 servers busy buzzing around. Business seems doing well with that many staffs. The place is much larger that it looks from outside.7AM open time is just perfect for a breakfast date. Our server was super nice and helpful. She took care of us so well. (Wish I could say the same thing about the manager (I assumed) at the counter who didn’t seem to have interest in talking to her customer. )We had BLT all day breakfast (which was way too much for me to finish) and a 1/2 waffle kid menu.Mine was was alright, but was not as tasty as I expected. Cheese was a bit too little and bacon was too tough and dry. Egg was moist but not much flavor to it.After all, it was an okay experience.
Friendly staff. Attentive waitress. The selection of cakes was so inviting I had the pineapple cake for breakfast…. along with my All-Meat Omelet. The portions were big enough for a take-home-bag. The OJ tasted fresh squeezed as opposed to from concentrate. What a great way to celebrate an holiday morning!
We’re from out of town and wanting to find a good breakfast. The Google ratings indicated this was a great choice for breakfast and it most certainly was. We arrived at 11 AM and had a 20 minute wait to be seated. It was worth waiting. The food was good, quick and very filling. The service despite being very very busy was excellent. We could see why so many people choose to eat here.
Good Day Cafe in Grand Prairie, TX serves traditional homestyle food with family friendly atmosphere. Definitely a place worth trying out more than once.My waitress was Genesis and she was very kind, sweet, hardworking, attentive, and personable! Ask for Genesis!Ordered a corned beef hash plate and it did not disappoint. Would have loved a larger serving of it but the quality of the food was exceptional. The waffles here are definitely worth trying after your main dish.Thank you, Genesis and Good Day Café for your services.
Despite being busy we were acknowledged and seated immediately. Nice selection of breakfast options. I ordered the 12 oz sirloin breakfast. Steak was medium well and very flavorful. Breakfast included over easy eggs, toast, and grits. We also ordered an omelette with hash browns with toast. Both meals were hearty and delicious. Server was extremely courteous and attentive. Prices are reasonable. Cashier was friendly. Great experience from start to finish. Maybe next time I'll try that yummy looking mango cake.
This is the "Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives" of Grand Prairie, Texas. Really, it was that for Dallas for us this last weekend. It was Sunday morning and we skipped the free breakfast at the hotel in favor of a "special" brunch place and did we ever get a great surprise.Hidden behind regional and national retail/restaurants is an older strip center and tucked away at the back is "the" place that the locals cram themselves into on Sunday morning.I'm thinking that the place probably has seating for over 200 people yet the atmosphere reminded me of the diners from the '60s and '70s that my grandparents took us to.The menu is filled with very flavorful, reasonably priced dishes that remind you of excellent home cooking. The place is a family run business and while we had to wait a little over 15-minutes for a table, it was more than worth it.Being that I am a San Antonio native, the food could be a little spicier but the flavor was just out of this world.Since I will be visiting within a half hour of this place several times a year, it will be my "have to go and get great food place."For three of us eating some of the more expensive entrees, having tea and coffee plus a 20% tip for the great service, we were out of there for a little over $50.00 which is a bargain for a meal like that.
This is a very family oriented restaurant! The atmosphere is very good for families. The service was excellent, and the food comes out fast and fresh! I would highly recommend this restaurant. The best part is they serve breakfast all day! Great find!
This little restaurant is hiding and it is hiding some of the best little restaurant food in the area. The entire menu appears scrumptious and more than adequate. The service is great whether they are full or just not busy. Then, the place is spotlessly clean. Find your way to a great place to eat in Grand Prairie
GREAT place for Family time. Location n the middle of EVERYTHING! I had delicious breakfast, beeennnn craving hash browns. Good Day is the spot to be,YUMMY???BUT, FYI: #grits are NOT expensive!!! They give u 2/3 teaspoons like they’re feeding a 2/3 yr old ? & these days, they can eat MORE than that!
Only three stars because when I got my food it was cool not warm. Service was fine. Menu doesn't have any designated gluten free options so I stuck with the basic eggs, bacon and hashbrowns with side of fruit instead of toast.
