My wife selected Restaurant Anise to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. She has some food sensitivities, so she called the restaurant a few days in advance and the chef was able to modify some of their dishes to be both dairy free and gluten free. The chef also offered to make a custom dessert for her.The dining room only has about 10 tables, but is both elegant and intimate. The servers were friendly, attentive, and very helpful.My wife enjoyed the chilled avocado soup with braised rabbit, frutti di mare, and a poached pear for dessert. I had the mixed greens, bison strip loin, and meat and cheese plate for dessert.The mixed greens were light and flavorful with bacon, blue cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. My bison was perfectly cooked and accompanied by roasted carrots, Yukon mash, and fava beans. My dessert was a flavorful meat and cheese plate.All of our dishes were artistically plated - making dinner an experience for the eyes, nose, and taste buds.Restaurant Anise has a fairly small menu, as it is a small restaurant, but chef Megan Potts changes the menu monthly to provide variety.Overall, Restaurant Anise is an excellent choice for our anniversary dinner or any fine dining occasion.
What a wonderful first visit! Friendly staff and delicious food! We enjoyed chilled melon soup, heirloom tomatoes with burrata and pesto, duck, and wahoo. Then we had dessert . Who knew that bacon pairs with peach cobbler ice cream? The sunset tea was perfect as well. We will definitely plan a future visit. Thank you and kudos to the chef!
Terrific experience!! This is one of the nicest restaurants that we had dinner at in Granbury. The chef owner is very talented young woman and presents a gourmet menu that is thoughtful and delicious. Everything was fresh and perfectly prepared, The lamb chop with braised lamb raviolo and smoke gouda grits was over the top. With dessert, ask for a glass of their house made lemoncello, it was delightful. Will be back on our next trip to Granbury
Took my special lady to dinner for her birthday …. An amazing experience. Food was very good .. staff was out standing…. Even other customers where fun too meet.. small atmosphere was great ….will be going back
If you want a 5-star dinner, this is the place we always send our guests. A small (make reservations) intimate place, perfect for a long relaxing meal. Her menu changes all the time, depending on what she is able to get from her local suppliers and what she is in the mood to prepare for you. Your evening will be memorable.
We recently hosted our son’s rehearsal dinner for 34 at Restaurant Anise. We were looking for a venue that would give our guests an unbelievable dining experience in an intimate setting. From the customized menu, floral arrangements & table decorations, Megan & her staff took care of every detail & exceeded our expectations. Many of our guests said they would travel to Granbury again just to dine at Restaurant Anise.Megan, Shannon & all that made this evening so special….thank you!
Ate a special Valentines Day dinner and it was fantastic. The elk and the Atlantic Halibut was exceptional. Meal was paired very well with the appropriate wine. And the dessert was outstandingly delicious. The restaurant is very small but is huge with the ambience. The wait staff was very cordial and very attentive. Super experience.
Quiet, small intimate restaurant with a great feel. Wonderful staff and very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Small portions, great wine list. Food is nothing special, high priced and if your waist is over 36 inches your bottom will not fit in the chair. The chair really took away from my experience.
An amazing experience from start to finish. I really enjoyed the wine pairing event. It’s a bit pricey but definitely an experience. The chef Megan comes out to meet all the guest and great effort is obviously put into the atmosphere. The food is delicious… the person I went with changed last minute and they were a vegetarian. I expected to simply make it work with the menu, but Megan found out and made a four course vegetarian meal off the menu and even lowered the price of the meal since non of the pricier meat was included. Amazing chef therefore amazing restaurant!
My wife and I had a lovely date night here. Everything was top-notch. We’ll be back!
