I grew up across the street from The Pit. I've alway liked it, until I ate Georgetown BBQ no longer opened. Always a friendly staff, brisket is good not great, the turkey lacks of taste, sausage is way too tough; good flavor but too much trouble just eating the inside, and the BBQ sauce is too watery.
My Grandma's ashes had more flavor than the brisket, diesel is sweeter than their tea the pickles tasted like pickles. At least the lady at the window was nice. That's it
Great food for reasonable prices. The drive through usually works very spediant and then workers are always friendly.
Awful BBQ last and only time I was there. Perhaps the BBQ sauce recipe has changed.

Me and the family always saw long lines and so we decided to give this place a try. We got the 5 brisket sandwiches and were very disappointed. The flavor is desperately lacking and the bbq sauce is horrendous.Now I understand that bbq sauce can be either sweet or savory but this stuff is lacking ingredients.If this is what you call BBQ, then help me.
Meat was tasty. Got the 3 meat combo.Not the best, but it hits the spot.Cole slaw was ok.Baked Beans were bitter. Not sweet. Should pair well with Cole slaw.I'll keep looking
