Not a fan. On busy days the love is lacking, apparently. For the price, this restaurant should elevate their to-go materials away from styrofoam. This was a lackluster experience. I ordered the chicken southwestern tacos and the sauce was unbearable and everything was very slap dash. I think I got the bottom of the barrel on the potatoes, dry and a bit burnt and not fresh. I normally don't drop bad reviews but this is just so bad. Three stars comes from the other people in our group saying the food was okay. We ordered delivery so we didn't even expect the food to be hot, just wanted to taste good.
Got to visit Roots on our escape to visit for business and we stopped by for a quick bite. Our party ordered beers and margaritas along with some tasty nachos! Service was quick and order was on point!There was live music and the place was comfortable. The back patio was nice and cozy too!
Good Rock n Roll music, great service and the Chicken Curry Salas and Cheesecake were great!
Great food and beer. I love the gyro and the pizza here is delicious. Fun laid back vibe with live bands. There's seating upstairs too and the staff are so friendly!
Popped in here a few times on our visit to Texas as we were staying locally. Staff friendly, beer expensive but good grub and very tasty. Lively and enjoyable.
Service is inconsistent. The busier they are the better they are. Kids that work there are good and the food is always good. There was a drunk older man talking to people (harmless but annoying) and the staff was attentive and making sure all the female customers were left alone until he left. I come here every so often.
The food was really good. Amazing actually. Delicious. The problem I had was the place is really not clean. Funny smell, and walking past the kitchen to outdoor patio, it was obvious the place needed a good cleaning. At least the giant cockroach just inside the patio door was dead...
Great food and fun atmosphere right on the square!
Visited just after Christmas. The good news was that it was one of just a couple of places on the Square that was open. The bad news was that there were a total of 3 guys trying to serve at least 60 people. They tried very hard but were clearly overwhelmed. Several tables gave up and walked out after waiting an hour. Will try it again on a "normal" day.
Roots has great food in a relaxed environment on the Square in Georgetown. Their pizza is excellent, and we especially enjoyed the tomato - basil soup of the day.
