I so appreciate all they did for me just now while Christmas shopping! I always appreciate Lark and Owl, but with their help, I found the most PERFECT gifts for three people in less than five minutes! They removed all the price tags and gave me matching tissue paper for the gift bags I bought too. All with so much kindness. Thank you so much, Lark and Owl!

One of the hidden gems of Georgetown. I love this bookstore for the variety of books, gift items as well as food. But, the best is the staff! they are so knowledgeable and when I'm looking for gifts, they've come up with the perfect suggestions based on my description of the gifted, especially gifts for my grandchildren of varying age. LOVE it and it is locally owned, so get your holiday gifts here.
We truly had the best time today at the store and then dinner at Nightingales. The staff was truly epic. Making the perfect recommendations for our little reader. As a family we have read Vampenguin twice already and the Ghost Went Floating, three times. With a kid who is not yet eligible for a vaccine we are always looking for mask friendly place we can take her. This is now top of our list. This is such a beautiful, safe place for everyone.
I couldn’t love this bookstore more. The atmosphere feels good. Staff helpful. Lots of great gift options. Cafe. Patio. Plants. So much to enjoy here.
I expected nothing but leftist literature and snobby salespeople but I was incredibly and pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and helpful staff and mixed in among the left-leaning books were plenty of more centrist titles. I'll definitely go back to this great bookseller whenever I'm in Georgetown. Remember, though, this isn't a half-price place. Expect to pay full price unless you grab one of their $5 grab bags. I did and got a winner!
Wonderful little bookstore with its own special atmosphere. Even though we’ve been vaccinated, we’re always careful to mask up to protect ourselves and others with the delta variant spiking. Employees were all wearing masks, and they have a sign requesting customers do so as well. Glad to see Lark & Owl cares about their customers and employees. Definitely looking forward to coming in again soon.
This place is like a dream. They were passionate and helped me pick a new series to read. The gift selection and amazing and then finishing up at the bistro to read my book and eat was the perfect experience. Highly recommend. I will be back!
Awesome bookstore, wish I had more cool places like this to visit around me. Loved the cafeteria area to chill and read books. I enjoyed their little nooks with great book selections
