When I arrived there was a large table in the back but no hostess on staff. After about 15 min, a waitress arrived just coming in to work. She helped us get sat.The place is clean and the they have the standard IHOP fare. No substitutions were allowed by our waitress and we didn't get any refills. The food was served quickly and up to IHOP standards.Given there are so many local places that have the same prices with fresher food and better service, I'm going with only 2 stars.
First bad experience at ihop maybe is this location in Georgetown. Arrive at the restaurant 11:30am they took our order at 11:40am. They gave us drinks while we wait, waiter checked on us around 12:20pm and said sorry for the wait your order is coming, then 12:45 asked her how much longer for our food to be served and why are others are been served before us. The waiter told us because we were a large group of 7 is taken a long time but your order is coming. Around 1:20pm we told the waiter it was to long to wait so we are leaving and to cancel the order. The waiter called the manager and told us "all we waiting for is eggs and your order is ready". At this point we were disappointed and wanted to leave, as we were walking out of the restaurant the waiter stopped us asked us to pay for the drinks. I've told her that's fine but we didn't touched our drinks, the waiter went over to check our table decided to let us go. Walked out the door at 1:32pm and hungry.
I got the sirloin steak tips and eggs with hash browns. I had forgotten there is some sort of sweet sauce they cook with the steak. I do not like it. The grilled onion was perfect. However, the steak was so over cooked I couldn't chew it. I brought the meat home for my dog. I don't know got anyone can eat a steak well done. I won't order this dish again. My friend got the breakfast sampler and I was cooked just right. Service was friendly.
My goto breakfast place regardless of which city I'm visiting. This has been my #1 place for breakfast since the birth of my grand daughter (2000). To this day this is the only place she will suggest for us to eat breakfast when visiting.
spent an hour and half waiting for our food. couldn't get our drink refilled by our waitress. l
They basically need to shut this place down. If you're lucky to come in while there's lobby open, service is awful. When you order you'll need to get you bill immediately. Because you'll probably won't see your server for a good while. probably order a side entree too cause they'll mess up the first one. I'm a local to Georgetown and have have this IHOP many opportunities. We've always been let down.
I’ve dined at this location many times over the last 7 years. Post pandemic service has sucked. Today was the last time I’ll visit. Hostess said someone would be with us in 5 minutes. She then proceeded with cleaning the restaurant. After 30 minutes of sitting in the lobby watching to go orders get served and no one serving the patrons for dine in we left.
I really wanted some breakfast tonight so I called them and of course got forwarded to a call center where they didn’t pick up the phone for 5 minutes. Gave up and called a local place I remembered which has way better food anyway!!! IHOP’s food has really become trash so from now on I will just go to the local place!
1-8-22 Continue to try and support restaurants with take out. Did not receive all our to go order, and did not realize it until we got home. IHOP ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT ANSWER THE PHONE at this location! Tried calling for over an hour… it will take a second trip (40 minute round trip) to TRY and get a refund! A business that does not answer the phone will not be frequented by our family!
We went after the town square lighting. The server was awesome and our food all came out hot and as requested. To my amazement even the hashbrowns were well cooked! One of the best I-hops I have been to!
