Excellent food and service! We will definitely return next time we are in the area!

Food was ok but not great. $60 worth of food in the trash after two bites. The inside of the building looked dirty and run down. A deep clean and new paint would make this place a more appealing place to eat.

Best outdoor dining experience! Our waiters and the staff are top notch every time. Food never disappoints.

We’ve been looking forward to coming from out of town to celebrate our anniversary all week, but when we arrived at 6, they said they didn’t have any reservations until 7. It was worth it to us! We waited only for them to call and cancel our reservation 20 minutes before 7. Not only were we upset to not get to eat (especially waiting outside for 40 minutes), but we were surprised and disappointed in the lack of professionalism. They did not apologize or offer any other solutions to the cancellation. We decided to go in to try to get some understanding on why they cancelled it, and they said they had two wedding parties there and their kitchen would not be able to handle an extra table (of 2). Even if that in of itself was true, the silly thing is that walk ins and reservations have been left open although they knew the two wedding parties would be there (I had checked the day before and earlier today as well). We won’t be back any time soon and will not be recommending Gumbo’s to anyone visiting Georgetown as we previously had. So sad to have had such a negative experience at what used to be a Georgetown classic.

Worst service. The waitress billed us wrong then argued. Secondly someone who DID NOT work there came and touched plates and stuff on our table. A friend of the wait/bar staff. Who was extremely intoxicated along with the staff. The service is consistently horrible and dirty. The food is always good. But I won't be back. We have been going here since they were located in Austin.

Had an evening meal here. Very tired looking restaurant that serves over priced very average food. It was obvious as non locals we weren't really welcome, given smallest table despite the restaurant being mostly empty, took ages to take our order and were glad to get rid of us.

2022 we went to New Orleans for the Final Four. We did a lot of fine dining. I tried to get the best gumbo. Our little spot on the Georgetown square still has the best cup of gumbo. I like to add crab to mine.

Had quiet a wait even in the later hours. Nice atmosphere. They had a band playing that was very good. They played a variety of music. It was a little loud because it was a small room if your wanting to visit but we enjoyed. The waiter was new but did an excellent job. I’m used to southern seafood places so I was disappointed that there were no hush puppies or fries. I wanted shrimp and the cheapest was $25. They were a little chewy. Those that ordered gumbo enjoyed it. They salad and stuffed mushrooms were a hit. The Cajun salmon with pasta they said was delicious.

Six of us went for dinner. We were seated promptly, but that was the last prompt thing that happened. Our server was pleasant but either incompetent or overwhelmed. Slow drinks, bread, orders. Four of the six orders were incorrect when served. My redfish, the catch of the day, was served blackened instead of grilled, and was overcooked. I don’t think anyone thought their entree was well prepared. Very poor dinner at an inflated price. Try Ichuro or The Post for a nice meal in Georgetown.

My husband and I had a lovely lunch here today. Our server was attentive, the food came out hot and exactly as ordered, and we had a very nice time. ? The custard was amazing - possibly the best I’ve ever had!
