Catfish was good. Hush puppies were delicious with the homemade tartar sauce.
Good price for the amount of food you get. Quality wasn't exactly high, but nothing was bad. Will definitely be back for a hearty, easy lunch.
Catfish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly and the sides were all very good. Portion size was generous. Service was good and friendly. There was plenty of free parking.
I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit to Catfish Parlour in Georgetown, Texas. This was the third time that I have visited. I purchased the Large Oyster Dinner and the Large Combo Jumbo Fried Shrimp and Catfish. The oysters were very small (roughly the size of a quarter) and fried hard. People that do not like oysters intentionally fry this way to eliminate the taste of the oyster. Unfortunately for me, I like the taste of oysters and these were difficult to taste. I ordered my catfish Cajun spicy. The color of the fried fish was the color of brownie batter, dark, dark, brown. I thought this was attributed to the spices added. That was my first mistake. My second mistake was eating this fish. It had been over fried. It tasted as if someone incinerated this fish. It could have been catfish, cod or flounder. There was simply no way to tell. The fish was not moist or flaky. It was thin, dry and flattened. It disintegrated in my mouth. It was as if I was eating ashes. I have never tasted worse seafood in my life. I have eaten a lot of seafood on both coasts and the Gulf Coast and this is by far the worst food that I have encountered. I will not return.

Our first time to Catfish Parlour Georgetown. Had been diners at Catfish Parlour 183 Austin for 48 years, until they closed. Great choices from the Buffet. Same delicious Fried Catfish, French fries, Hush Puppy’s and Okra that I was used to !!!!! Very friendly Owner, and staff. Can not wait to go back very soon!!!
This is the “Lite” Sr. Plate for $11.99, so good! My favorite catfish place since 1973. The sides are great too and the staff friendly. Love it!
In town visiting from Missouri and my aunt suggested coming here. The service was excellent from the server to the manager. Portions were huge, hush puppies and drinks were kept filled, the salad bar was very fresh.
My mom took me there on a Saturday. She & my step-dad used to eat there but he passed away a few years ago. I'm not crazy about catfish but surprisingly it was absolutely delicious!! So much food and reasonably priced. The service was caring and tentative..it was like a family.Definitely try it out! You'll be glad you did!!
