Great atmosphere and great food. A good place to meet for lunch or dinner or to just hang out with a group.
July22- went to the sing-along piano show. It happens the last Saturday of each month. Tickets were $10 online $15 at the door. Purchased online when we got to the door had a list of who had bought online super easy. Show is great, piano player and the drummer played and sang for 3 hours straight. You recommend songs on a piece of paper attach a tip and put it in his pile. Played everything from the 60s to current. It was amazing he knew all the words. He would adjust the amount he would have the crowd sing just right based on how well the crowd knew the music. Crowd was mainly middle-aged. Played all different kinds of music from country to rap, it worked really well. There is also dueling pianos every Friday, plan to see that too. Sliders were still really good.June22-Went to the bar and restaurant part, not the piano bar. Clean. House sliders and fried pickles were really good. Huge beer selection, able to give you small samples to find what you want to drink. Music volume was good, low enough to have a conversation but loud enough to help drown out others. Sports on TVs.
Just stopped by for a delicious lunch! Yes, they're open for LUNCH! The interior was cool and relaxing. They have over 50 beers on tap. The pickle fries are a wonderful change from your usual pickle chips (don't worry, they have pickle chips too!). I had the Baja Fish Tacos. Great fish, tortillas, and salsa. The staff was very friendly of course and even had an introduction to the owner.
Me and my husband have been here several times, always a good experience. Affordable drinks, good food, 2 separate buildings. One for music and such and the other is more of a bar only vibe. Also a couple years back we had lunch on the bar side and it was super good. Recommend for sure
We went to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday and had the BEST time. The GM and his staff were so accommodating and truly made the evening so special for him. Between the happy birthday the entire bar sang when we walked in, to allowing us to request song after song, we really had the best time. We have been before and the drinks are always consistent and taste great. Unlike other places, it doesn’t matter which bartender makes your drink. If you have a large group or are even just on a date, you won’t be disappointed. Most fun place on the square in Georgetown!
Went into Barrels & Amps Saturday evening for a birthday party. Started off good, friendly, attentive staff, service was quick, opened a tab with the one of the floating servers. Went to order our second drink of the evening and couldn't find our server so went to the bar, had to run our card again. Cool, no biggie. The place became super packed super quick and they started to struggle. We went to order another round (2 beers)...sat at the bar for over 35 min waiting for the 2 beers before we finally said forget it and closed out. Both receipts were closed out at less than $35 bucks and woke up to multiple "holds" on my account totaling over $100. I called and spoke to them and said it was an authorization placed on my card to cover the tab and I explained that that isn't how you run authorizations. Not to mention I was overcharged by 3 beers. She also, explained to me that they get many phone calls about this issue from other patrons and that explained to me that the charges would fall off by Tuesday. Well, it's Monday my two correct charges have processed and I still have a hold of over $100 on my card. Unacceptable, perhaps they need a training day on how to use a point of sale operating system correctly. This also, happened to two other people in our party, one having over 6 "authorizations" for one drink.
When the Blue Corn Harvest waiting was over an hour we went walking and found this gem! Nice & quiet, intriguing menu, good beer & bar selection. We were all very pleased with our food, grill cheese w/bacon, tomato soup, burgers, sliders, wrap, queso & homemade kettle chips (really yummy!) and cheese curds (scrumptious) were All very good. Even though the place filled up as we ate, our server was very attentive and filled the kids sodas no less that 3 times. Multiple large screen playing various games kept it fun too. I would definitely recommend this lesser known option in Georgetown.
Stopped by for a quick meal while in town. Great service and great beer. The atmosphere was good, they have lots of events. The deviled eggs are an acquired taste so watch out. The Chicken Sandwich was good but the breast was lacking in volume. I would come back and recommend.
Went during the day while there was no band. We tried 3 locked doors before finding the restaurant entrance on the side. The food was good and the blue cheese and bacon jam burger was flavorful. I thought the beers were a little pricey for the kind of establishment it is, but it is on the square so I guess location is how that’s justified.
Cool bar with wide and quality beer selection plus full bar (drinks) and very tasty kitchen. Plus they are have a venue attached. I've caught a couple comedy shows there, always a good time.I do have one gripe. Last night I had a garden salad (along with other drink/food). It came in a fancy bowl that looks like it's about to fall over, one side higher than the other. The salad ingredients need cutting, example the large tomato was quartered. That in itself was no big deal. But the combination had the salad jumping out of the bowl along the low side. Maybe just me? IDK, but I wasn't a fan. Everything else is top notch.
