Great tasting food with big portions. The staff is all very friendly and the restaurant is clean.
First time ordering there and we were disappointed. The ribs were tough and dry. The potato salad was basically cold mashed potatoes with mustard and celery. The beans were a little undercooked. They forgot our gravy for the mashed potatoes. The brisket was good and so was the banana pudding but that’s it.
Over all the food is pretty good. Just the fries..... They're always raw and the mixed up our sides this last time
I placed an order over the phone on 4/15/22 for several sandwiches, fries, and drinks. I was told 15 minutes so I arrived and paid for my order and waited. As I was waiting I was not impressed with the person doing the meat she was extremely slow and as she was placing the meat on sandwiches she started working the line with other customers which was no issue until she started being rude to the cashier that was trying to finish putting my order together with no help. The girl doing the meat then pretty much push the cashier out the way and finish packing up my order shoving all the fries in one bag she might have just pour the basket in the bag since the several orders of fries ended up that way. Then she told the cashier rudely to stay at register. I will say the cashier was doing her best to handle my order first since I was there and already paid for it where as the lady doing the meat kept putting the line customers a head of me. I give the cashier great praise for handling the rudeness of the other. I won’t go back there since I do not appreciate seeing employees especially young people be treated poorly in front of customers by other employees which I took as someone in charge such disrespect to employee and customers and totally unprofessional. This place was much better under the other manager. Good luck with business at this location.
I had not been here in awhile. It used to be a great place to eat. I got the Dynamite special. The bun was cold and hard, the chopped beef was ok and would have been better if it was not for the bun. I got a side of spicy potatoes, they had good flavor but we're not even warm. Not worth the $12 I paid. I will think twice before going back.
Generally Soulmans is Awesome, but yesterday at the Garland restaurant this was not the case. I took an associate there for lunch because he loves BBQ . The brisket was so bland the sauce couldn't help it. After expressing my concern the girl was like oh well. I was embarrassed After bragging about soulmans BBQ. Quinlan Soulmans is by far better. They care about what they're doing.
The meat was old and dry, gave me heartburn, cabbage was delicious, other sides were ok, banana pudding was best part of the meal, it was delicious, restaurant was clean staff was friendly.
I got a chopped brisket loaded baked potato and there are chunks of fat in it. The brisket is mushy, fatty and somewhat of a slime texture. It looks undercooked. I love Soulman's but will stick to the one in Rockwall. Would of posted all the nasty fat chunks i picked out but didn't want to share my freakin photos and files with Google. So gross.
I have yet to try their food I have a friend who frequents the place I have yet to try their food everything smells wonderful it has that great barbecue aroma when you walk in there but I have not tried it once I tried I will update
Both the pull pork & beef BBQ sandwiches w/ fries were very tasty, my kids had chicken tenders w/ fries and loved it! I would definitely eat there again but it was a little too expensive for what you get 13$ for sandwich and fries, maybe if they included a drink but that was another 3$ so it's like 16+$ for a 8$-10$ plate
