Great place with a beautiful lake view. Lots of outside and inside sitting, live music, wonderful atmosphere. Even in the summer hot weather it’s pretty windy and chill in here. They’ve got delicious Tex-mex menu, meat was cooked pretty well, the portions are on a little smaller side so you might not get full from a single dish if you come here on an empty stomach. Prices are ok l, too. For a meal ranging from $13-26
We were excited to try this place out. The menu looks great, the prices are fair, and being able to relax with a lake view over dinner should lead to a great night. Man were we disappointed. We walked in at 9:35pm, and out just after 10pm.We spent fifteen minutes at a table on the outside patio. Five minutes in, someone brought us chips and salsa - but that was it. We spent the next ten minutes or so trying to flag down the wait staff to figure out who we should at least place a drink order through. We were completely ignored by three different employees. This wasn’t a busy night. Maybe 1/3 of the tables in our section were seated. Maybe they were understaffed for servers - and if that was the case we shouldn’t have been seated so fast or should have been told it may take a bit. That would have been fine, but we were given zero information. When we gave up on waiting for a server, we tried to move to the inside bar. It looked like the bartender had a few drinks to make, so we waited for a chance to get her attention. Five minutes in, nothing. She walked by twice. Not a, “I’ll be with you in just a minute,” or “let me run to the kitchen and I’ll be back,” just complete avoidance. Not even any eye contact. We appreciated the chips and salsa, though! The salsa is the one thing that went right during our visit.
The meal was pretty good, but not great for the price. For a Tex-Mex, it left something to be desired. The atmosphere and scenery were phenomenal. Service was great! The food seems to be short on flavor for all three of us, but acceptable. One of the people in our party ended up sending the food back and ordered shrimp tacos instead. The shrimp seemed really small compared to the shrimp I'm used to in Florida...we are in the middle of Texas, so apparently everything ain't bigger in Texas when you aren't near the Gulf Coast. I wouldn't make this my first choice for Tex-Mex but the scenery and service were really good.
Our very first time at Primo's Tex-mex Grille and let me tell you I have never been anywhere with such nice staff. Our waitress was very attentive and never had to even as for refills. She was awesome! The food was hot and exquisite! It was windy however Our view was beautiful as we sat outside and had a good view of the lake. It's well worth the money for the excellent service and food quality. Will definitely be back!
Primos Tex-Mex is an example of when fantastic food, service and setting meet. Not only is the service top notch friendly and attentive the food was absolutely a standout in this space. Another surprise, the pricing was better than reasonable for what you get. Just a superior option to hang out eat and get drinks without feeling like you were robbed :)The views on the balcony were also second to none!Super strong recommendation 5 ?
Beautiful view of the lake
Atmosphere is great, location is great, food was great... except for the queso. My daughter and I have eaten LOTS of queso, as apparent by my backside. Nonetheless, their queso is straight Velveeta!! Literally rock hard in minutes! Very disappointing for a TexMex restaurant of this scale, or of any scale for that fact! Taco Bueno has better queso. Everything else was great and typical of any TexMex place and I would return. I just will never order the queso again. ?
Great food! It's a bar, but does have a kids menu. Lots of TVs for watching sports. Went in for dinner and had the best Chimichanga ever. Rice and beans were flavorful. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend for some great TexMex.
Seldom do I find Tex-Mex this good. The Brisket tacos are the best I have had. All the sides were top-notch as well. We will definitely come back soon. R&P.
I suggested this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday celebration. Most of the food was great. The wait staff did get soppapillas for the birthday girl, however, she could not enjoy since it was so sweet. I think everyone was offered a bite, same outcome, too sweet. Otherwise, this rating would have been 5! The wait staff was nice and accommodating to the 5 of us patrons.
