The waitress was so friendly. The restaurant was clean, cute, took me back to the 50's. Food was very good. The atmosphere was positive and my husband and I found our little date spot! In a busy city, crazy schedules, this little place takes you back in time, creates positivity, and gives you the experience to enjoy, relax, and get away from life . Please go!
Trying this sweet little place out! I'll upload pics. Nice little place. I'm ordering the Blue Plate special. EDITING: WOW! AMAZING! A BIG FAT 10! Blue Plate lunch special was just right, room left over for that great dessert, which was awesome, too. I seen the table next to us, hamburgers, wow, huge, looked like fresh hamburger meat, not frozen. The price was nice! I felt like I was robbing the place, I was the winner!!! The staff, extremely pleasant, very nice! Hands down or up, for the cook, great job, especially the green beans!!!! I will be coming back! I'm embarrassed that I never stopped in before! We go to Paw Paw's for the fresh- made, delicious food, but the retro vibe is fun and the service is excellent. This place has a dedicated following of regulars. If you give them a try, you'll see why.

Great little 50's style cafe. I've had several entries here and love all of them. Great burgers and salads. Their fresh baked pies and cakes are wonderful and my grandsons loved their shakes.

I do not recommend this place. The customer service is horrible.I felt all kinds of vibes from this place that were not welcoming.We waited for a long period of time to receive our food (the whole duration of our break). Since they told us it would be another 5 minutes, we decided to stay and at least try the food, instead of going somewhere else and having to wait even longer. We noticed other customers who came in after us, received their food before we did and no one came by to check on our table nor give updates. But they made efforts to go and check on the other people at other tables. Very obvious with their intentions.We were told by the staff that we have "regulars." So in other words you neglect the other customers. They definitely won't have to worry about us becoming regulars at this place.
We have eaten here many times, breakfast & lunch. Service is great and food is really great too! Lots of choices to eat & drink--desserts too. Will go back--it is in downtown Garland, TX.
