Competent, but not exciting. Old standbys, without a lot of flavor or originality. With so many Mexican restaurants around, probably will not return.Food is OK, facility is clean though dated and worn.
First time here. Lunch was very good. The steak was cooked very well and tasty and the chicken was very moist and flavorful. Chips and salsa was fresh. Waiter and staff were very attentive and polite. Highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely come back!Also side note it's in no way connected to Norma's cafe just fyi.
I love Norma's. It's got the trifecta of delicious food, excellent service and great prices. It's my favorite family owned Mexican restaurant in my area
I see all the stellar reviews on Normas and was eagar to try it. Well this being said... it was just okay. The fajita meat in the chimichanga was very tough and lacking flavor. The rice was also bland and the refried beans were so thick you could stand a spoon up in them. They were grossly understaffed, only 1 waitress and 1 cook. So grub a refill was almost impossible. We had to catch her at the register just to get out check after waiting quite a long time. I felt sorry for her more
This is one of my favorite spots in Garland. The food is good, the service is excellent. I always get fajitas. It comes with a side of rice and beans, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo.

My wife and I went there when we first moved to the neighborhood. When we went I was so engaged in conversation with my mate that I did not notice my order was without shrimp. as I had ordered with. I called the manager over to make note because I did not want to pay extra for something I did not get. Well,.. she rudely assaulted the rest of my dinner and accused Me of lies and returned from the kitchen saying they sent out shrimp. FIRST AND LAST TIME WE EVER VISITED THAT PLACE. HORRIBLE DEMEANOR.
First time to eat here. Food was delicious & service was great. Will visit again!
Food was good and large portions. Sweet tea was good and went after lunch rush before dinner and had an a quiet meal with mom.
All of us in our group either had coke, diet coke or lemonade. They did not taste good and we told our server. We were all sick the next day with diarrhea!
