My husband and I are foodies. I was not impressed with the barbecue at this place. The food was ok. The baked beans were good but not the potato salad. The ribs and the brisket had too much fat on them. We got the chopped brisket and the sliced brisket. This would not be my first place to go for good barbecue.

Delicious.. I don't mind the wait at all.. anytime I'm in the Garland area, I always stop by to see if they are open and what the have left.. ?

I ordered a pound each of ribs, brisket, sausage, and pork. The price was reasonable and the food was AMAZING.

This is BBQ in it's true form. I got Da' Jasper which is a massive double chopped beef and links sandwich. Just enough smoke. The chopped beef was super tender. Links had a great snap. Potato salad is unique. It's a sweet, almost mashed cousin to German potato salad. Portions are huge. People are super friendly and make you feel at home.

Best ever... EVER! Low key no frills take out only. Great prices, great food, fantastic people.

This was my very first visit and may very well be my last Not sure it'll depend on how bad I want que. The ribs and chopped beef wasn't so bad but the potato salad was HORRIBLE. In fact, I'm not sure why it's called that because when I opened my container and saw that pasty white stuff they call potato salad I screamed. Needless to say, it was too far for me to drive back to this place and get my money back so i had to add some basic ingredients from my kitchen which I should not have had to do but can't just toss it in the trash. Going forward I'm sticking with Terry Blacks downtown Dallas at least I know what I'm getting and it'll be on point. THANK YOU TERRY BLACKS for giving us GREAT BBQ :)

Great BBQ shack. Get there early. They close when meats gone. Today it was 1:15. Got last ribs

Thanks, Meshack's, for catering our office luncheon. I'm thinking we won't have any leftovers ?. We called ahead (the day before) so he would have plenty of food and we wouldn't have to wait. I thought people in the parking lot were going to mob me for my food ?. There were about 30 people or so waiting. But, as always, it was totally worth it.

Meshack in the Bible went into the fiery furnace. This namesake must be channeling all the BBQ skills of the original. They open at 10:30 a.m. and stay until they sell out, normally by 1:30 or 2. But if you want the goods, call orders ahead or plan time to wait in line. Worth the wait! I LOVE the sliced brisket and the ribs!!!

Thur 1050am no beef due to “catering order”. 40 min AFTER ordering 1lb pulled pork, got 14 oz of bland pulled pork (store bought frozen is tastier). FYI, 14oz included the foil and 3 slices of bread on my digital scale - they were not really close! Maybe they had an OFF day, surely did not live up to their rep!
