My wife and I ate here Tuesday evening for the first time. I really liked their salsa and chips! But that was the highlight of our meal. We started off with a guacamole appetizer and when it arrived it looked very pleasing. But the taste was very salty. It took our waitress about 10 minutes to come back to our, and that was only to deliver our main meals. We told her about the problem with the guacamole and she said she would taste it in the kitchen. Again about 10 minutes later she returned and told us that we were right and thanks for letting them know. I had a taco plate and it looked great, but the taste was bland. Although I did enjoy the rice and beans. My wife had the brisket mole' plate and we thought that it had a strong taste. She told me that different regions in Mexico fix it differently. We waited another 10 minutes for our check and we figured that the price of the guacamole would've been adjusted but it wasn't. Our total bill was around$39. So the service was slow, but that was because she was the only waitress and also the bartender. And the food was just average. We probably won't return to this establishment. My mom and I (African American women) walked in to this restaurant for some good food but after being seated we were left alone for 20 minutes, it was busy so we were patient at first. When my mom finally got up to ask if someone could help us we finally got water. Then two white men walked in and got many drinks, chips and salsa before we even got our order taken then our waiter told us out that our chips and salsa would be right out, which never happened. After seeing the white men get their food while we still hadn’t even gotten an appetizer we left. 0/10 I cant believe we were treated this way, when all we wanted was some authentic Mexican food on Mother’s Day.
I went around 8pm and was surprized that it wasn't busy. My server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the bar items. I asked a lot of questions. She didn't seem annoyed at all and had good answers. The food was fresh and good, my margarita hit the spot! My only complaint is the entree came out so fast I didn't have time to enjoy my appetizer.

I was a bit surprised, when I walked in I was the only one there to eat. Nice Mexican restaurant, had spanish music playing in the background and a few tv's on no sound. Mary the waitress took me to a table and brought me my tea and water. While l was reading over the menu, she also brought chips and salsa and this Great Great Jalapeño Salsa . I never had it before my next visit l am have that on everything.Lunch today was Fajita Tacos with rice and beans. The Tacos was very good and portioned great. Rice was very fluffy and the black beans were also very delicious.Gonna need to add JHonny's to my list of places to eat on this side of Garland.

We love this place. The food is awesome, staff is awesome, and the prices are awesome too! It's hard to find those 3 things together nowadays. We've tried at least half the menu and haven't had something we didnt like. Family owned and operated, support your community!
Absolutely one of our most favorite places to go. Margaritas can't be beat!!..Food is awesome and service is remarkable! Great atmosphere as well with live music on Wednesday and some Saturdays!! Great time!!

Where is a 6th Star when you need one! Seriously one of my favorite restaurants! EVERY time we come the food is amazing no matter the time of day or the day of the week!It's cooked fresh, served hot, and so flavorful you do a little dance with every bite! My favorite is the salmon with mushrooms & vegetables. Normally I don't like paying for salmon at restaurants because it's often over priced, but this baby is worth every penny! The veggies are cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The salmon is cooked to a nice flaky finish and the sauce they serve with it is unlike anything I've ever had. I could eat the veggies & that sauce ONLY and still feel like I got my money's worth.
