First visit to this brewery in Garland, TX. Lots of meat on the menu - beef, pork, turkey, chicken, sausage. Sammiches, plates, flatbread. Surprisingly, they also have some meatless options. Sunday brunch includes a plate with half a pound of bacon. We tried four different beers, all very good. They have the closest thing to a dessert beer that I have ever tasted. Bourbon barrel aged marshmallow stout. Yummy.
Intrinsic is a smokehouse that brings the ????. They have the juiciest, tastiest plant based bbq I've had in the DFW area. We were sad to see the outdoor area closed due to remodeling. We really enjoyed being able to have some cold ale brewed on location, fire bbq and live music. It takes a lot to impress me, but hands down, they did! The bartender helped me select an incredible brew that was just what I wanted. The kitchen counter staff (Logan?) was quite friendly, knew the menu inside-&-out, & personally came to see that we were satisfied with everything. Such a great & relaxing experience! Shall be returning! <3
Intrinsic makes a horrible first impression! Worse than any other restaurant, and we eat out a lot. I craved bbq tonight and thought we’d try them out. They may have misunderstood when I ordered a bbq plate and thought I ordered a plate of mac & cheese. I won’t rate their expertise on the beef, since there wasn’t enough to savor it.
Wow, such an amazing location with some amazing food. I stopped in with a few buddies and they had been telling me about how good this place was. I was pleasantly shocked at how amazing everything tasted. The beer was great and the BBQ was on point. There is not much else to say. If you are in the area, and you have an opportunity to stop in and give this place a try, take that opportunity! I do not think that you will be disappointed at all. They have an amazing beer selection too that was not expensive at all. The beer flight is the way to go!
Amazing food every time!! We ordered their Christmas special (don't skip out on their special pickup orders!!) Brisket, Jalapeno cream corn, and Macaroni. Oh Sweet Baby Jesus, indeed!! Was so wonderful and made the day easier and yummier for all. **Side note - please do another crawfish special. Best I ever had!**
Food is always fantastic. Venue has a cool vibe. Today I had the chicken fried brisket on a bed of mashed potatoes with burnt end gravy. The gravy was too salty, but the rest was out of this world. Sided are fantastic too. They serve Sunday brunch, which I have always wanted to try. Two BIIIG thumbs up.
I had the brisket and ribs and they were both excellent. They were all out of pulled pork or I would have ordered that too. I didnt try their beer but I'll have to next time. There will be a next time! :-)
The BBQ is fantastic and happy hour makes it a great spot for high end food on a low end budget. The Mac n Cheese w brisket is phenomenal, but I prefer the sliced vs shredded.They have a small brewery, outside enclosed area where you can see a live band. This is a hidden gem located in downtown Garland so if you're in the area, I highly recommend swinging thru.
