Let me start off by saying this place used to be so good back in the day now it is just a disgrace. We ordered the chicken and waffles only to get a dry waffle and chicken that not only looked as if it were fried in old grease BUT also tasted like BOLOGNA??????? I couldn’t even finish my food let alone the drink that came with it which tasted as if it were made with toilet water or something. We should have turned around when we walked in and smelled what smelled like a bad sewage problem. Anyway We will not be returning EVER. Save your time, money and stomach! Mesquite diner is WAY better.
Friday's catfish plate is as of Good himself created the batter and fried em up on golden fleece. But my ALL TIME, #1, 1000% SURE meal they have is a cult classic:Chicken fried chicken w/gravy and mashed potatoes and accessorizing the plate is a kernel corn so good you will find your 5th grade language arts teacher and smack her square in the jaw.
Always love the food at Harland Cafe. The staff is always friendly. A nice place to have lunch or have take out.
Today my family and I visited the cafe with my great grandmother. (She’s in her 80s with dementia) My grandfather and her used to visit this place all the time before he passed away. It made my grandmothers day, probably week honestly. The staff was great and definitely kind to my whole family and had patience with my grandmother. The food was very tasteful and price was good. Wonderful visit on a Sunday afternoon. Thank you to the staff.
I wanted to try this place and figured I’d take my parents to breakfast on Saturday 1/8/22 and we weren’t greeted when we walked in and it’s kind of small so we sat ourselves and after 5 minutes a young lady came and took our order and 45 minutes went by and we STILL didn’t have our food and the table next to us came in 20 minutes after us and we’re already eating! Upon looking around everyone was eating except our table! When I went to see how much longer it would be she said oh you want me to go check so at this point I have a very hungry 6 year old so we asked for our check for the drinks and left!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!
Good value decent food. Horrible service most of the time. Ignore the attitudes and limited verbal acknowledgement and don't expect refills then this is the place for you. Only come here for decent food and price only. Don't come here expecting service and if you get it then it's a bonus. Tried it again today got there at 2:25 and was told they stop serving in the rest at 2:30. I said it 2:25 they said then I could sit at the area that hasn't been clean yet. Placed my order left by 2:51 and left a tip and said thank you. 3 employees said nothing. The one male employee was rude through my whole 23 min lunch. Finally never again will we go there. It's a shame the the owner doesn't seem to care about customer service having employees as these. It use to be a lot better service years ago. The other location has way better service and seems to appreciate your business. Good luck to whoever ventures into this location. If you do eat here please don't look on the floor or at the condiments it may ruin your appetite.
Good, old fashioned Cafe. Though I've enjoyed everything I've had here over the years, it's hard not to go with breakfast.
We made this location a regular hangout for our family, especially on the weekend. The food portions are large enough you get full and the prices are right that you don't go broke doing it. A little small for me at times and you have to go at just the right time to get seat. Often we had to wait for place to set, but it was worth the wait. They have really picked up with business in the last few months and it was difficult to get in, so we had to find another restaurant that had the same feeling and atmosphere.
The food is awful
They're great when they answer the phone....which is rare. Its not even because they're busy, its just lazy! Ive seen them mute the phone while the place only had a few guests, almost empty.
