Chinese Dim Sum
(972) 487-8289

One of the few authentic Cantonese Chinese restaurants on the Dallas side of the Metroplex. Garden is a family favorite where we go to regular dinners, celebrate birthdays, and generally any other special occasions due to the fact that the owners and staff are very nice and there are large tables for big parties. My personal favorites are the Crispy Shrimp Fried Rice (a special combo that the chef owner created) and the Dim Sum.

First and last time here. We were excited to try this place out, too. Food was just okay (not the best dim sum around) and they made the mistake of kicking us out rudely after we have been there for only ONE hour, and wanted to charge us to stay and finish our food. He started cleaning up abruptly and repeatedly yelling at us to leave saying two hour only. We have been there for only ONE hour. 1 (ONE)! Hour Only. I understand it’s Mother’s Day and they are busy, but to rudely and mistakenly kick us out early without an apology? He shoved my nieces iPad in my face to take and go away. He kept hollering at us and I kept telling him he’s mistaken and it was getting ridiculous. The guy ended up “maybe” realizing he made the mistake and frustratingly said okay then walked off, with NO apology, NO acknowledgement that he had done anything wrong. Very disappointed and ruined the experience for us. This guy right here ? If you cannot handle the holiday rush or anytime the restaurant is busy, then he should find another job. Management needs to RE-evaluate his employment. Check your cameras to see that we sat down at about 10:34am. I know because I sent my sister the location as we walked to the table at that time. It took maybe 10-15 minutes for carts to come to our table and they never came by to refill our drinks. We didn’t complain and just enjoying the day. Then about an hour later, this happened. This guy out of nowhere came and ruined our experience. We were finishing up and getting ready to leave anyway, much under 2 hours that he was going crazy over. So so disappointing.

In a word.... WOW, amazing flavors and great portions. I had the opportunity to eat the Mongolian Beef for lunch today and what a delight it was to experience such robust seasoning and tender beef. The restaurant is clean and the service is very good. I was amazed by the amount of food you receive for the lunch special, literally a full entre and full pot of rice. Another perk is that they offer several hot tea options; I had the Jasmine tea. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Garden Restaurant.

I think I just found a good spot for dimsum in DFW area. The outside of the restaurant is a little old, but the inside is very new and nice. They have lots of tables so you don't have to wait too long on Sundays. Staffs are very friendly.I love it here because they do the traditional way of serving dimsum, some ladies were pushing the cart around and you can choose whatever you want. The food is amazing! The shrimp har gow and shumai are made from fresh shrimp, very tasty.

Our first dim sum experience with rolling carts since Covid. Not many carts - just a few that had tons of selections. We arrived at 11:15 on a Sunday so it was still early. We are used to waiting in long lines for dim sum on a Sunday but there were no lines here. We had a party of 8. Plenty of tables around us that never filled up.The char siu pork Bao barely had any filling. The soy sauce jar was dirty and sticky. Food came out quickly but nothing was very hot. Everything was luke warm as if sitting on cart a long time. The serving sizes were good. However, nothing wowed us.Overall, we had a nice lunch. May give it another chance. Great place for dim sum if you want to avoid crowds.

Holy smokes this place is amazing!! Everything we got whether ordered or from the carts was so good!! 10/10. We will definitely return when visiting Dallas.

This is an absolute banger of a dimsum spot with traditional pushcart-style fare. If you comes for trying. You will be experienced everything ?

While visiting Dallas for a long weekend we decided we would look for dim sum since we don't really have places back home like we found in Denver, CO. I'm glad we chose Garden Restaurant. It was exactly what I was hoping for from start to finish. Service good and the food was even better.I ordered 1 dish from the menu while the rest we got from the carts that came around. Shrimp dumplings, mixed meat dumplings, shrimp fried balls, tripe, tendon, pork ribs, and a BBQ pork rolled in a noodle. If I was local I'd definitely return.

Clean restaurant.Fair service.A little expensive. So far so good.

Delicious foods, fast and professional services
