U can't judge a book by its cover. This saying is applicable to this restaurant. The place & facade might not look the best & favorable to people, but the quality of food & service are deemed more impt to customers like me. Heard mgtm planning to move the restaurant in a higher classy place - pls don't leave ur current neighborhood who aligns w ur heritage, just because... cherish ur own people around who patronize & support u! My neighbors - let's request for the store to stay in our neighborhood & not be enticed by hypocrisy. It is who we are that boost our self identity & people. Gracias.
If I could 0 stars I would. Most of the reviews were good so I was like let's try it. BIG MISTAKE! $40 for nachos, a burrito, 3 tacos and 3 soft drinks. Over priced but that's not all. Many health code violations. Flies were everywhere, nails sticking out of the walls, staff was not wearing gloves or hairnets. Food tasted like dog food. Beans were watery, chips were stale, and meat was over cooked. The best part of the meal was soft drinks. So disappointing.
Came on a Saturday for some menudo. Comes in two sizes- small and large. Small seems to be about 16oz, and the flavor was good, but was missing hominy which was a huuuge let-down for us. It also took quite a while to receive it after ordering it at the drive through. I ordered mine with flour tortillas which was a mistake, because they had a sour aroma similar to store-bought Mission-brand tortillas. They were probably reheated with some butter, but it was unpleasant and disappointing overall.
The food Is great but service is horrible most days. The older short man acts like it's an inconvenience to order food or get my food like I like and not like he wants me to order. I love my fellow Mexican joints but service is not a trait we have and value. This is a restaurant I ask for food and you serve me. If we all stopped coming then there would be no imployment for them and that's where they fail to understand why service is so important! Do better!
Tacos were fantastic, they have tripita so its a plus. Not sure about their other food.
Food was absolutely horrible and salty. They also forgot my drink when the driver returned they didnt have what I ordered, so they just gave me any flavor of Jibarrito. (BTW I hate the orange flavored one) Just poor customer service overall! Was one of my favorite places at one time but quality and service have declined. Not recommended.
We have been coming by pretty often in the past few weeks. At first the service and the food was amazing. Now, not so much. The last time we came the servings were stingy and the food somehow didn't taste as good. Same thing today. Maybe it depends on who's working in the kitchen, but it feels awkward to drive up to the window to see who's working before placing an order. Maybe we'll just take a break from this place for the next couple months.
Not bad... I lile the taste of the corn tortillas used. I purchased a barbocoa, & fajita taco. I cldnt really tell which meat was what, but it tasted decent. I also purchased two individual tamales. They were okay also.
One of the best Mexican food places in Dallas.EVERYTIME I go here I order the giant burritos and I HIGHLY recommend you try any of the lunch/dinner trays and you'll be full and satisfied!
Almost every Friday we eat lunch there while on lunch at work. Food is always hot, fresh and never disappoints. Gets really crowded around 1pm.
