Yesterday my sister got watery queso. The service was inattentive. And what is up with cilantro? Too many places over use it. The salsa here has it.

Overall the food was alright…The environment was clean and the staff was very kind. The chips and salsa were good but it was not spicy. The chips are crispy and thin. The food prices are reasonable. I ordered the chicken enchiladas that came with rice and refried beans. The shredded chicken had a good flavor but the beans and rice need some work. The beans do not taste refried and the rice lacks flavor.

Went for lunch on Saturday & they were offering a brunch menu as well as the regular menu. I had the breakfast burrito--it was Hugh & very tasty. My husband had beef enchiladas, also very good. Friends had a hamburger & fries & fajitas. Burger was very good. Fajitas the meat was a little overdone & tough, but a good flavor. Chips & salsa were great. We will go back, one of our favorite restaurants in Garland, close & convenient to our house.

Dos Banderas is located on the old historic main Street in downtown Garland, Texas many buildings in the area built in the late 1800's. This Tex-Mex restaurant is well maintained and everyone was very nice and welcoming. The food was very good and came out very quick and was hot and fresh. The sweet tea was great as well. It was a nice touch as well for the owner to come out and make it a point to check on everyone and greet them personally. They have several televisions in the restaurant to help keep their patrons entertained. I would definitely recommend giving Dos Banderas a try. The wait staff did a great job and it was a very good experience.

The short review is get the brisket tacos. They are amazing.I've been going here for probably over ten years, but it just went under me management. Typically I've found that to be a bad thing with restaurants. My first visit with the new ownership wasn't great. I got the fajitas during their Sunday brunch and they were pretty dry. However! My wife insisted we go back citing their improved margaritas. So we went back. We got house margaritas which we're pretty good for $5. My best decision though was getting the brisket tacos. Wonderful! Best I've ever had. They tasted like a real smoked brisket. My wife told me I had to tell the owner. It turns out they have it smoked at intrinsic BBQ down the street. You can't go wrong with these tacos.

Had a wonderful time today with wonderful staff! Shawn was amazing as our waitress and so friendly. This has always been a great place but I feel the environment is amazing right now! Beautiful update to everything! Welcome to the new owners!!!

Wonderful birthday dinner with a large group, the staff handled us easily and quickly. We had lots of different delicious entrees, all delivered hot and beautiful. The renovation is looking great! Keep up the great job Mike! We love what your family has done with one of our favorites!

We have been 5 or 6 times and love it! We’ve always had excellent, friendly service including being checked on by Matt, the owner. We’ve never had disappointing food nor drinks. Highly recommend and love supporting local small businesses 👍🏻

We been to dos Banderas before management/owner changed. Decided to give it another chance since we heard some good thingsLet’s start offWe sat in the bar and asked for top-shelf margaritas. The bartender came over and asked us if we wanted house tequila in it. Ummm what? Top shelf means premiumSecond I ordered beef fajitas nachos and what was served to me can only be described as in edible. I didn’t even finish it.In stead of fajita steak, it’s served with chopped roast beef and was completely flavorless.Chips and salsa were good and the wife said her tacos were good. Also like the queso blancoAnyways another disappointing restaurant experience in Garland.

So today was their first day doing brunch and it wasn't bad. Being their first day I must day they did pretty good. Over time it will get alot better but will just take some time to work through all the little things that other restaurants have figured out.The food was delicious but was a little on the cold side. But that wasn't a big deal and I think it was just because they were figuring out the new breakfast crowd. Now if you do go here which I definitely recommend, you absolutely must get the queso. It was superb and that days alot from me because I'm picky when it comes to queso. We will definitely be coming back again.
