We ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was dry and pork chunks (not pulled) with about a half teaspoon of BBQ sauce. A classic brisket sandwich that was small (slider size) with dry brisket and a half teaspoon of BBQ sauce. The strangest looking potato salad and BBQ bean (the beans were the only good food). Two under cooked brownies which were supposed to be blonde brownies. We couldn’t even eat the brownies. A waste of $40. We will never, ever order from this restaurant again ???.
First time going to this location. Brisket was dry and the bread was hard. Banana pudding didn't have no bananas in it. $19 what a waste of money. Rockwall location is the best.
UPDATE:3/8Changed from 2 to 3 stars after talking to owner.I received a phone call from the owner/manager today. She was very nice and apologetic about the situation. She gave me a full refund and talked to the employee about the importance of reading the orders properly. I will be continuing to use this location.*****************************I use this location because it’s just a few blocks from my house. I’ve used them for years but I ALWAYS add a note that says “no fat please”, my phone even predicts it for me. This time I got a huge amount of disgusting fat. I understand mistakes happen. But when you have something specifically put in writing, really? I called and they apologized. The manager was not there but they said they would let her know and they would try to refund my money. And no, this isn’t the first time it has happened, unfortunately. Hopefully they’ll do better in the future.
Staff were friendly. Food was decent. Rolls were sad, small, and stiff. I got the giant baker with brisket and pork sandwich. Sandwich was smaller than I expected, but the baked potato was HUGE. I wish there was more sour cream and cheese on the potato. It was a bit too dry for my liking.
Not professional enough, I left feeling that hopefully all the food I ordered is right ( which was likely was). Then, when started to eat, brisket meat was bunch of fat and couldn't eat ribs because they were too salty. My kids ate some but had to drink lots of water. Disappointed.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is excellent. They are very organized and clean. We have a dickeys barbecue here in Mesquite but refused to go there due to their poor service. It’s worth the drive to Garland.
I purchase a Thanksgiving dinner and two pies. I went to pick it up and they were very nice. When I got home I saw the rim around the pumpkin pie was black. I called and a lady offered my money back or a pecan pie in exchange. As this did not solve my need for a pumpkin pie at 8:00 at night before Thanksgiving I ask why I wasn’t told before I left the store. I was told she thought everyone was being told . She was right there as I received my order. I’m insulted you would pass the blame onto an hourly employee. Please accept responsibility for your store next time and be honest with your customers. I can’t believed I tipped them also! She called me while I was writing this review and apologized and told me that the girl who helped me was a volunteer and did show me the pies. She was right but the pies were stacked on top of each other with a bag of 12 dinner rolls on top of that. I saw two pies and a bag of rolls in a deep bag that was dark I am just asking that you be HONEST with your mistakes. We will live by cutting off the burned crust but this Dicky’s has lost my business forever. She did offer another pecan pie or to refund my money. This was not the point I wonder how many other pies went out burned(black) and the customer did not know?
