I definitely recommend eating here. The staff was exceptional. The food was cooked to perfection! I had the veggie omelet with hash browns and toast. It was so delicious.Update 7/21/22We haven't been here in a while, this is the first night we've been able to have a family dinner out. Darren doesn't disappoint!! Got the rib special, steak fingers and fish n chips.Everything was super delicious. If you haven't tried this wonderful place yet I definitely recommend you should.
I have days I crave the chicken fried steak - the steak fingers are so yummy - best catfish on Fridays - all you can eat dinner! Plus, dog friendly patio for those nice weather days...
Excellent breakfast at Darren’s. I will definitely return to try more of their menu.After a second visit I am revising my star rating from 5 to 3. Darren’s is a nice, clean restaurant. But after my second visit I have to say the food is typical breakfast fare. There’s nothing wrong with that but it is not 5 stars. I can find an equally good breakfast much closer to home so I do not plan to return to Darren’s. If I lived nearby, I would probably go there again.
I have seen and tried different strategies and methods even lost alot of money while trying. First time here; our usual favorite is Judy's but this place is just as good. Service was excellent; food was good, prices are very good.They actually know how to make coffee; even with it being Folgers. Not bitter or overly dark (it's important because I drink mine black).Only thing I would suggest is a little more time with the Hashbrowns; they seemed a bit wet so I am assuming they use frozen.I had steak and eggs; great value at $15.95.I think would be a great place for Lunch and Dinner; I was looking at the Menu and great price for Steak.This is added to my list of favorites.
When the food and service are excellent, your day is great. My first time today, meatloaf was delicious and the service was excellent. Salute to a family owned business doing it right.
Tonight was our third time here, and i think it’s safe to leave a review as we have together tried six menu items and they are all amazing! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff is personable. The sloppy Joe special, steak fingers, gravy, fried steak, American melt are all so good! Everything taste like a home cooked meal. Tonight, Thursday, we tried the ribs as well and they deserve a line of their own. Best ribs I have had since living in Texas, in three years. They also have a really good sweet tea, and garlic toast! Basically everything is good, and we can’t wait to keep coming back to try the rest of the menu! Customer service is top notch. We don’t explore menus often but this place is one we are confident just can’t disappoint.
Food was ok, service stunk. Waitress sat on her phone at the bar. Never brought a bill, I had to get up and ask for it. Too many good places around for this kind of shenanigans. Won't be back. Over $10 for just a burger. No fries. No drink.

I was luck enough for my 1st visit to be a Tuesday, which was the meatloaf daily special and I was very happy with it. I will be back! Our service was great too!
