We got whataburger because my fiancé was hungry. I got a chocolate shake. They gave us vanilla so we kindly asked for confirmation. The employee was the rudest employee I have ever met. She kept barking that it was chocolate and talking to us like we were stupid when it was obviously vanilla. It honestly triggered my anxiety and made me want to cry. Food is awful and always cold too. Can confidently say, I won't be returning.

I am a regular customer at this location (528 University Blvd, Galveston, Texas) and have normally been satisfied, however today was one of the worst burgers I received, couldn't even eat it all. Presentation is definitely a factor when opening the wrapper, my burger looked as though some one sat on it, the tomatoes we're as green as the pickle, one pickle, and the fries were almost warm and paid $9.00. Not a happy customer !

I have never had such poor service from any Whataburger we could not even hardly talk to the lady at the window because a staff member wanted everybody to know her love life and what was going on. My onion rings were burnt and they tried telling me that's how they come out of the Grease. I don't think so. Then I asked for more napkins and they were not going to give me any because of Whataburger policy I then proceeded to ask will you not give me some if I'm requesting them and the lady just shoved them at me. I will never ever come back to this one again and I suggest nobody else do either and I hope people above the manager of the store reads this cuz she was not happy very rude because she had to give me my money back on the onion rings.....As a paramedic in EMS we depend on these establishments at night and to be so rude is unacceptable.

The entire team was behind on orders and it was apparent. One employee became upset and started to yell and swear. He demanded his cash drawer be counted so he could leave. He eventually stormed out and was followed by two other employees who attempted to console him and get him to come back inside. Eventually all employees made it back in. The manager was nonstop dropping fries and tenders and was unable to handle the “drama” that was precipitating.Food was okay. Tenders were fresh and hot but the fries were very limp and lackluster. Waited on ice for the drink machine for about 20-30 minutes before the meal, which came after the 30 minutes. Thankfully we were not in a rush.Restaurant was not clean, mess was on every table. I even found random straw wrappers inside the marketing sign on the table.Needless to say, employees we engaged with were respectful and did not give us any difficulties. Manager was very kind and thanked us continuously for our patience and understanding. If it wasn’t for the upset employee’s outburst I would’ve rated a 3 star review.

I absolutely love this Whataburger. My family always makes this our last stop in the island before heading home. It can get pretty busy, but they always get our order right and always have smiles. Thank you! ?

Big disappointment. Most priority at drive thru, dine in comes last, long wait. TERRIBLE COOK on 4pm shift. All lettuce, pickle on right side of burger, bun smashed so flat it appeared to be a tortilla. By time food runner came back with ketchup and me going back to get something that was not on burger I ordered food was all cold. Food runner didn't bring me a tray and told me they didn't use trays anymore while holding a tray in his hand in a dining room where EVERYBODY had a tray but me lol. The manager did later bring me a tray. Most staff were kind,, courteous and tried.. He brought no napkins but tissue paper from bathroom was in the dining room for napkins. The whole visit was hilarious but I still feel it was money wasted because food went to trash.

Can't beat the staff they find to work there - which is no easy thing post-Covid!!!! Really nice people. The burger comes ina super close second. Haven't had one since I was last in Phoenix (don't have Whataburger in Omaha), so I had to go during a trip to the Gulf of Mexico in Galveston.

Every time Betty is worlking my order gets messed up or forgotten. They regularly give you jalapeno biscuits on the honey butter chicken biscuit when they run out of regular ones. And most of all their staff is completely unprofessional, go to the 61st location its worth the extra drive.

We ordered two swiss mushroom burger deluxe. I couldn’t even finish my burger. Not healthy to eat here. I won’t come back.

The atmosphere has been different. Associates used to be cheerful and pleasant. Now they just seem to be there just because they have to not cause they want to
