We went to the open time.I sat outside because it wasn't too hot.It was cool and nice except for a lot of flies and mosquitoes. The staff was very kind and the food was delicious.Especially, Oysters Benedict was so delicious to my taste.
Atmosphere: This is a very busy and LOUD restaurant. Not that they play music with high volume but people chatting over each other makes it sound like a bar.Staff/Service: The greeter was pleasant and communicated with us consistently while waiting on a table. The server however didn't seem eager to serve and was either annoyed or stressed out.Food: The food wasn't that tasty expect the omelet with brisket which had some flavor to it. The rest was pretty plain and the cappuccino had cinnamon which killed the taste of the coffee. The waffle was cold and tasted more like cardboard. The utensils were missing the spoon so we had to stir the coffee with the fork. We had to ask for water twice before we finally got it at end of our visit. The fried chicken is not recommended.Business Opportunity: Glad to have tried this place based on other reviews and took the time to see for myself. I am definitely not coming back.
We were seated pretty quickly. Everything was clean. We ate breakfast at 11:30am, and all the pastries seemed to be running out. So, go earlier. We waited FOREVER for our food. They have crayola crayons and paper kids menus to keep the kids happy. My daughter declared it was the best cream cheese Danish she's ever eaten and wants to bring her kids there someday.
This is my favorite breakfast spot in Galveston! Everyone who works there is always so happy and friendly. We love to sit outside, when weather permits, otherwise we sit inside and enjoy it just as much. They also have a case with lots of pastries, we couldn’t resist buying a couple before we left, we got a blueberry muffin and an almond croissant, both of which were fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the little breakfast, despite it being called little, it’s still a lot of food and very filling! I had a Belgian waffle with fresh berries, it was perfect. They didn’t skimp on the berries, which was greatly appreciated, and it had fresh whipped cream as well. I enjoyed every bite, especially with the 100% maple syrup.
Absolutely delicious food. Excellent service and wonderful local charm. Brunch classics (eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, pancakes) and great mimosas (strawberry lemonade $25 per carafe). The wait is incredibly quick even when busy and food comes out very fast.Make sure you check this place out while I’m Galveston!!! Thanks to Evelin for great service!!
As much as we wanted to love it, it was a no go.The pies crust weren’t done, they were soggy/mushy.I’m a HUGE fan of lemon loaf, however this may be the worst piece of lemon loaf I’ve ever had. I didn’t even finish my bite, I literally spit it out. It was dense and the taste was off. The icing was artificial.Banana cake was dry, icing tasted good though.Cookie was okay, not great but didn’t taste bad either. The white cookies were delicious!!! But it didn’t make up for spending $30 on bakery items where we only liked one thing. It was really disappointing. We didn’t try any of there actual food, this rating is only based off bakery items.
This was our fave brunch of the trip. My friend had the French toast with fruit n a side of bacon. I had a waffle with strawberries and a side of bacon. Everything was delicious! Our service was prompt though not super friendly. The hostess was super friendly though!
Very busy place but for good reason. Food was fantastic and atmosphere relaxed and comfortable. We sat outside on the patio. Weather was beautiful and meal was tasty! My husband and I both had the fried coconut shrimp and fried crab cakes for an appetizer. Yum! They also have an assortment of baked goods to add to your meal or for a desert. We decided on a blueberry muffin and a pumpkin, cream cheese muffin. Those were a bit dry and wish I would have tried some cookies!
This is probably the best brunch I've had yet! It was a 45 min wait and we'll worth the wait I will say. If you're ever in the Galveston area you should try this place out wether it's for breakfast, brunch, or lunch the menus offer a bit of everything. I ordered the barbaccoa omelet with breakfast potatoes "well done" added cheese to my omelet and oh my delicious. We also had the big breakfast with a side of biscuits and gravy again delicious. My son ordered a cheeseburger which let me remind you all their bred is made fresh daily again amazing.
I visited twice recently while in Galveston. Both times the food was first rate. This place gets very busy, especially on weekends. Their breakfasts, brunch and baked goods are all delicious, though I suspect they do everything well. Loved their pancakes and I picked up a couple blueberry muffins for the road. A must for any time I’m on the island.
