The food was excellent. The service was fast courteous. The prices were great. The atmosphere was nice and the A/C was nice and cool.
This location offers more selections than the other. The table service is very friendly and laid back, but quite efficient. The food was very good. The key lime pie was the very best we’ve ever had. My husband grew up in Key Largo so he is very picky on his pie.
Husband and I both ordered Po' Boy sandwiches. We got grilled shrimp and fried shrimp sandwiches. They were really good and had just the right amount of tartar sauce. Fries and onion rings were good. We had bread pudding for dessert and it was delicious and plenty of 2 people. We couldn't even finish it all. Our waitress was amazing and very attentive and friendly. There was an error on our order and she and another lady both apologized. It wasn't a big deal to us at all to us but I appreciate them trying to make it right. The restaurant was clean and seemed like other customers were enjoying their food.
Very good food for the price. Key lime pie was wonderful along with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Service was excellent. Brandy gave us awesome service.
Our must stop for seafood when in Galveston. We always get the fried shrimp with cole slaw & hushpuppies and an order of fried catfish with fries and hushpuppies. The puppies, shrimp and catfish are always cooked perfectly. Good prices and delicious food. This was our first time to eat at the downtown location and it was just as good as the one on Avenue O. We found out this downtown location has other items different from the other location, such as: blackened, etc... They were extremely accommodating and had our order ready in less than 10 mins. I also saw the food truck in Jamacia Beach this trip, but did not eat there.
Absolutely amazing. Haven’t had it in years, but it was really good still. Had the blackened catfish. Hush puppies were great. Iced tea was good.> Coleslaw wasn’t worth getting, a bit dry, didn’t taste fresh from today.
Seafood was great and delicious! We have shrimp tacos, fried shrimp, and fire balls! Indoor and outdoor seating is ideal, very low key
A Galveston Staple when it comes to good seafood! My husband has been going there since he was in college and now it’s our tradition. We love to share our plates, so we can try all of our favorites! You can’t go wrong with your order, but here are our faves: gumbo, fried crawfish, grilled shrimp, coconut shrimp, grilled flounder & hush puppies. Finger licking good!Oh and a family favorite is the happy hour special…the crab claws! Just try it!Thank you shrimp n stuff & until next time…can’t wait!!
Food is always good. I have eaten there several times and am always satisfied when I leave. Once you order, the food is delivered in a timely manner.
We went to this friendly family restaurant in light of the great reviews, unfortunately we found the food to be just average. Although the decor is a bit tired, when we came in, there was definitely a buzzing atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The "besitos" starter was fine and the snapper stuffed in crab was good. However, the sweet potato fries were cold and the shrimp tacos were very soggy and taste rather fishy.
