While we are vacationing in Galveston, TX for a week have tried just about every good restaurant on the coast. One day kids decided to have a pizza at Russo’s, since I love TIRAMISÙ I ordered a Peice to go. Oh my goodness, this place has The best TIRAMISÙ ever. In my life time I had TIRAMISÙ in several countries and states and even I made it myself but this place makes the best. Long story short I called talk to Pam to get couple more prices to go, she was so friendly and polite and she said sorry we sold the last one 5 minutes ago. I was so disappointed, she said I can talk to the chef and see if he can make some more tomorrow and I will let you know!! Surprisingly next day she called me and said we are going to have it ready by 3:00 pm. So we ordered a whole sheet to take home. Bon o petite
Visiting Galveston , but visiting this place for first time , great service !The garlic knots were all that maybe a tad burnt not much flavor , but we were hungry so we tore into them . The pizza was one of the pepperoni dishes not the custom , and this was a medium pizza , I wished I tried there giant slices !But pizza was good and there tiramisu was awesome ! If I could give 3 and a half starts I would , not fully four since I haven’t tried everything yet .
We ordered a half pepperoni and half all meat pie and honestly the pizza was okay. The salads were good and carrot cake was delicious!
This seemed like a sit down Italian/ NY pizza place. Many of the pictures online are of other locations. They take reservations but it is a walk up and order counter and serve yourself drinks. We waited over and hour for our food which came out warm and not hot and the salad was wilted. 2 childrens meals, I entree and an appetizer was over 60$. Terrible value and terrible experience. If you are looking for pizza maybe it’s okay but oof on everything else.
Really friendly staff. And awesome pizza.
Really good food. The pizza was awesome. Get it by the slice or a whole pie. They have good deals on wines and tons of specials. The gnocchi dish was good but slightly undercooked in the middle. Still a great dish. The deserts all looked awesome and will def try on my next visit.
Absolutely amazing!! Got here at about 7pm and had zero wait. Restaurant smells heavenly and is so calm and quiet, it was honestly relaxing enough I could’ve taken a nap. Cheesy garlic bread was amazing, Fettuccine Alfredo and chicken was amazing, pizza was amazing, Stromboli was amazing. The staff were insanely nice and friendly. Food was kinda pricey but it was worth it. Definitely coming back.
Vacationing in Galveston, had to try their pizza. The pizza was pretty good, nothing to write home about. But I will stick with Papas pizza, which is far better and a little better price. So my recommendation is to get your pizza from Papas pizza.
I simply cannot believe this place has 4.2 stars. Ordered a simple medium veg pizza and waited for 1hour and 10 mins. A lady cancelled her order after waiting for half an hour and shot off. Should have probably done the same. After we got the pizza, it looked and tasted as if it were soaked in water before being served. Pizza was wet. I am not even kidding. What a waste of money and time
Strange rules, have to come to the front to take a menu and order but they serve you food to your table. I never saw this with any Russo’s before. If you can come to the table to bring my food, why don’t you bring me a menu and take my order from the table ? What’s worse, the “busy” young lady at the cash register never explained these rules so we sat at the table for about 15 minutes trying to waive someone down to take our order! There was nobody else in the restaurant at this time. Please change this stupidity and take the order from the client at their table like all humans do elsewhere! Food was good, change your staff too, they don’t give a f$)&.
