Blanca was awesome! We had the prime rib special ($18) and she offered to split and plate everything separately. I’m sure the cook winced when he saw medium for the meat but it was still very tender, served with a salad, baked potato and piece of Texas toast. Blanca even made sure we both got the different salad dressings we wanted. And the salad, even split, was not skimpy! Baked potato was great and definitely not microwaved, as the skin was tender and wrapped in foil. We were not hurried or harried and the entrees were served after we were done with our salads.I went solo about 4 years ago and had the basic cheeseburger with tater tots. Hadn’t thought about tater tots in years and I devoured them! There were plenty too. So much so that I could not finish the cheeseburger.Great locally owned bar & grill with a loyal clientele. We’ll go back for the frito pie!
I’m not going to dump all over the staff here so I’ll just talk about the food. The chili in the Frito pie, coney dogs had a sweet flavor. This is TX- not Cincinnati skyline chili! While it was edible, it tasted pretty bad. The burger was bland, I didn’t think prices were high but quality was low. Then again, it’s a dark bar so lower any expectations you have of fine cuisine here.
Great place to eating adult beverages ar even better.Joey bartender is great as well .
Early in the week Joey is behind the bar, and you won't be disappointed. Great place to watch the game, and Joey is Galveston gem!
The bartender was awesome, and the vibe is righteous. Definitely recommend the Frito pie ?
We went to watch a NFL game and drink a few beers. The bartender, Reed, was very attentive and friendly. We also had nachos that were tasty. This is a small bar in the hub of the market area of Galveston.
Great place. Had spectacular food and service was beyond good.
Best place! Food is amazing and the staff is just down right friendly. Gives you that local owned feeling for sure!
Little bit pricey but Reed is a good bartender.
They have a great Coney Island dog.
