The ambiance, food and service were great, but there were many items on the menu, including wine, that they were out of or did not have.
Eating at Porch Cafe is a must anytime we are in Galveston. Don't forget to make your reservations in advance. Everything on the menu is amazing. You cannot go wrong.
I was disappointed that the meal for the whiskey tasting and the wine tasting was set in stone. To change the entre you had to pay for another whole meal. I find that limiting to my return.

This is the cutest brunch place in Galveston
We had a reservation with open table but they didnât seem to find it until we had been seated a while. It didnât matter as there were many open tables for dining at 7:45 though the open table app said there were almost no openings left to reserve. I donât think open table is very accurate. It took a half hour to get a waiter to get our order started so we had to ask for our waiter and he was apologetic. They were out of several items including Brussel sprouts, and apologized to us and the table next to us. I had the small plate lamb chops which were good but I was not asked and forgot to request medium rare. They were medium to medium well done but still tasty. The vegetable was mushroom and chopped asparagus which was quite tasty. We also had a filet steak which was tasty also and was as requested, medium rare. The waiter gave us free cheesecake to make up for the wait, which was very nice and also delicious.
The food was excellent! The place is cozy. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. But it appears the restaurant was short staffed over all during this time (July 2022). But weâll definitely go back next time weâre in Galveston!

Food was nice ambience on the porch with the ocean breeze was divine. You can skip the lava cake-just a box mini Bundt cake with liquid choc poured in the middle but lamp chops were delicious.
