Stopped in at the Redfish Pool Bar (patio section of the restaurant). Had the shrimp tacos and fried calamari (served with marinara), and a couple Miller Lites.Patio area was nice, plenty of shade, but the pool and hot tub are shared with the hotel. Nice pool with a waterfall, cute fish shaped hot tub that the kids like to use, lots of foam when we were there. One kid helped himself to a garden hose maintenance was using in the pool.Food was ok. The two of us each had 2 domestic beer (4 total), we shared the calamari, both of us had a shrimp taco plate with fries. Total was about $80.Seems like the pool bar is a convenience option for hotel guests. Good view of the beach, very laid back atmosphere. Not a bad option for guests of the hotel.

This is the old Casey’s restaurant. It was under construction when we went, so most of the eating space was outside. But that was OK because it was a great atmosphere right on the seawall. Service was a little slow because they were very busy, but the food was great and worth the wait.

Nicks is on Seawall Blvd with a great view of the beach. Our meals were very good and full bar Is available. We were very pleased with our dining experience and will return again in the future.

6 of us went there to celebrate my husband's birthday. great outdoor patio. (indoor dining looks very nice with the renovations, although still unfinished). great staff - very attentive - especially amad. food seems to be hit or miss. my husband enjoyed his mango mahi-mahi. the onion rings appetizer was great. 2 had the greek salad, and they said it was good. my cardiac arrest burger was not too great. the meat was tough to a point where i stopped trying to eat off my hands, and tried to use a knife, and it was tough trying to cut the meat. the worst was the gulf shrimp - platter of 10 fried shrimp. she gave up after eating 2 of them, then my husband (who works in asian restaurant) tried a taste. said they tasted like bleach. really awful taste. he said that obviously left sitting in water for too long. when the server took the plates away, the other friend who had a greek salad saw that there were 7 shrimp. he stole one, and he immediately regretted as the taste ruined his entire dinner, that he had to take a big gulp of beer. because of our overall dinner experience (emphasis - food, not the service), we decided to skip desserts and went to another restaurant for my husband's birthday cake. would we return again? odds are 90% that we will not return.

Good food Good prices great service and great views of the beach if you're seated on the patio. Love the shrimp gumbo soup. And the salmon salad was outstanding. Highly recommend.

We went during lunch and were promptly greeted. They were busy, but our server was very attentive and friendly. Food was great, as always!

Good waiter....everything else below average. I am not a tourist but a fulltime, mature resident. Place felt not clean...double glass doors at entry, which I viewed the entire time I was there., were disgusting with many finger/palm prints, smears etc. Menus and table very sticky and felt unclean. Place not busy when in attendance...seems like manager could have someone keep the place cleaner. Wifes meal: Shrimp fresh and recently cooked, vegetables and rice had been prepared in previous days....leftovers. My meal was in the OK category....glad I ONLY spent under $50 for this place. Cannot recommend and was looking for a reasonably priced place with good food. Driven by many times, but this was first visit....disappointed

Typical bar and grill type restaurant. Food was good, service was great considering how busy they were. Drinks were good, not too strong not weak just right. Sat on the patio watching the traffic and people. Would recommend, we would return.

Rikki is Amazing! Came back twice in the same day! The whole hostess staff amazing as well! Thank you all!

We decided to try something new in Galveston today. The location is primetime with a beautiful view of the Gulf. The food however was not. The rice and vegetables tasted like fish. The fish tasted like cardboard. I had blackened redfish. It was way over cooked and bland. Everyone else had mahi mahi. Go to Willie G’s if you’re looking for seafood. It is always amazing.
