Our first time here since their grand reopening in the new location. This is without a doubt our new go to for the best barbecue we've had in a long time. Even though our meals were a bit pricey (what's not nowadays?), All four of us felt like we got what we paid for - the portions were huge! The barbecue sauce is to die for! Can't wait for our next visit.

I haven’t actually eaten at Koop’s bbq yet, but could not post without a rating. I tried to eat there, but found it had closed the location and moved after driving down from H- town. What a wonderful piece of info to post or update on google maps, which I’m betting a lot of folks use.
I was craving a good burger and decided to give this place a shot. I have NO regrets! GREAT Burger Fix! My tummy is super satisfied. Nice Size burger and fries portion. I had the Bacon Jam Burger! Super Delicious! Informative staff and very nice people. I will definitely be back to try all other items on this menu. Can't wait!
Koop was very hospitable. As soon as we walked through the door we were welcomed. It was the last day at the old location he had two servings of brisket left and we took it. My grilled cheese brisket sandwich was fantastic. It even had pickles on it. My husband had the brisket au jus and it had pieces of onion which was delicious. We bought the last of his smoked turkey, had it w his creamy mac and cheese w pieces of spicy red peppers and the turkey was still juicy the next day. My fries were well seasoned with season salt and I'm guessing a little creole spice. Sorry KFC I'm stealing your logo, but they were finger lickin' good. Koop thanks, and I hope if we return to Texas I'll make sure you are the first restaurant we go to.
The best spot on the island for BBQ, hands down! They have a different meat featured every day and are always coming up with new and tasty items every week
Thanksgiving dinner was a success thanks to Koops.The whole10 lb turkey was juicy and smoked to perfection and impressed all the menfolk. The broccoli cheese rice perfect, dressing was one of the best ever, gravy, bread pudding were perfectly delicious. The bread pudding topping was creamy and included coconut and pecans. A gallon of tea and rolls also included.Thanks, Koops!!!!

Just love this place . Only thing I don't like is they aren't open 24/7.. great burgers and amazing customer service..
Awesome food, fair price for the quality, and friendly owners.We are winter Texans and glad to see this place is still killing it. The owners always have a smile of there face, and the consistency of food is always the same.They operate limited hours, so make sure to her there before 1 to ensure you will get the good stuff. When they sell out of the brisket for the day, that’s it until the next day.Last time we stopped by they actually advised the dirty rice was undercooked and recommended a different side. This hardly ever happens at a restaurant.
