The freshest seafood I have ever had. Our lunch was delicious and the waitstaff was very attentive. We meet the family of the owner and the GM they were both very friendly.

We had read reviews and had referrals to Katie's. When they say it's on the water, it IS on the water. And parking is AT the restaurant..FREE. We had arrived early, as we had made reservations for later, but they seated us promptly upon arrival. Our waiter, Mark, was amazing. Not only did he know the menu, Mark was also very familiar with the history of Galveston!! Our meal was awesome, large servings, very fresh, not over seasoned. Recommend, and we will be back.

Food is amazing! Staff is incredibly professional and friendly, there is a very short wait, I recommend this place to everyone!

My husband and I chose to eat here to celebrate our 30th anniversary. So glad we did. I had the shrimp Alfredo. It had shrimp in the sauce as well as grilled shrimp on the top. My husband had the chef recommendation golden tile fish. It was great too.

Awesome service, great view, excellent food!

The staff was very friendly with great service. They were very efficient and we never had to wait long for anything from start to finish of our meal. We made reservations and were taken in immediately upon arrival. Had our dog so we sat on the patio which was very nice with view of marina. Very accommodating to our dog and they brought him a bowl of water right away. Food was excellent! We had the crab cakes and chicken and cocktails. Also had one of their deserts and it was a yummy finish to a good meal! Parking was right in front of restaurant free with a code. Everything was just perfect and we had a very nice dinner! Would definitely go back. I do highly recommend making a reservation- because they do get busy and we went right in as opposed to people who were waiting that just showed up.

If it were possible to give a 4.5 out of 5, I would. The primary reason for this ever-so-slight hesitation is due to confusion over the cooking method used for the proteins within the Snapper & Shrimp Umami Bowl. I’ve avoided fried foods for years and would never had ordered this dish had I know that the shrimp and the snapper cheek were fried. Please bear in mind that the menu was spot on for the lemon togarashi seasoned seared snapper. My struggle involved the fact that the menu did not accurately describe the frying of the snapper jowl and shrimp. On top of it all, the batter used for these two proteins wasn’t flavored much at all. Overall the dish is a winner. The rice noodles and masterfully flavored fish broth had me asking for a spoon to capture as much as possible. Now that I know how the fish cheek and shrimp are prepared, I’ll be looking for other gems on the menu to explore and will avoid this one. In closing, Katie’s is the SPOT to buy fresh seafood on the island and a restaurant that you need to try if fresh seafood is your goal.

Great food nice atmosphere waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly

My sister's and I heard from several people on our Galveston vacation that Katie's seafood was the best restaurant in all of Galveston, we were not disappointed! I made the reservation earlier that day, and glad we did because the restaurant we very busy. We started our dinner with the corn bread and honey butter as an appetizer....fabulous! For dinner, two of my sister's ordered the caribbean style fish dinner that they thought was amazing. Another sister and I split the crab cakes, and the 5th sister ordered the fried fish and chips dinner. We all thought the dinners were tasty and filling. The wine prices were reasonable, and the service was outstanding. Our only disappointment was that we didn't request the outside dining area when we made our reservation. Our next visit to Galveston Katie's seafood will be at the top of the list for our dinner plans.

I loved everything about this place!
