Went in on a Monday night with a party of five, and understandably there was a wait because it was at dinner time. We waited about 45 minutes, then they called us to a table that was in the back by the restrooms, and said that they would move us when something better became available, but they never did. One of the chairs at the table should have been thrown away, unacceptable to have broken furniture for people to sit on. My son ordered crawfish, the waitress came by about five minutes after ordering and let us know that he got lucky and got the last pound they had, then she comes back 10 minutes later and says there is no more crawfish. Our waitress was great, nonetheless, she was the best thing about the restaurant. The food was decent, but definitely not worth the wait. The women's restroom had no AC and was dirty. I feel as though this place is accepted by the locals, but they need to step their game up. Photo of broken chair attached.
We’ve seen this place many times but never ate here. Gave it a try last night. Food was fantastic. We had shrimp po boy, grilled shrimp platter and some oysters. Our waitress Giselle was also amazing.
We had our last dinner in Galveston at the Huli Huli Hut. We had great service, awesome food, & string drinks! ? We had three young children with us and our server was wonderful! We tried the wings, crab, & crawfish. Fully recommend!
I am from chicago I came to spend time with my daughter and family! I have to stay this place is amazing! The appetizers were big plates we ordered fried pickles yummy nice and crunchy! We ordered crawfish and Cajun boil with crab legs, sausage, corn, potatoes. Nice & spicy and delicious!! Yummy so much food we definitely took a-lot home.
Everybody wanted crawfish on a Tuesday and after tasting them, we figured out why! We came right at dinner time so we had a wait but appetizers were out quick, once we were seated. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! The crawfish were amazing along with the broccoli, mushrooms, corn…. Well, everything was spicy and so good!!!
Went with family for late lunch. Two members ordered crawfish as one had ordered it previously. Quality of the food was extremely poor (to the point that the waitress offered to take it off the bill). The manager approached the table and stated “it must be your first time eating crawfish and you just don’t know what you’re talking about” When my brother told him that he had indeed eaten crawfish before the manager told him he was drunk and took his drink away. Manager had friends at the bar and my takeaway was that he was showing off for them. Definitely not going to be back?
Best crawfish in both size and flavor that I've had this season! HUGE boudain sausage, delicious sides of sausage, mushrooms and onion. Great atmosphere! That being said, service was not great and decided the 3 stars. Not even the delicious food could save that. It took 20 mins after sitting down for our server to get 2 beers...he was off on his phone. We watched 2 tables get up and leave after having sat down for 20+ minutes of waiting for any service. We'll be back for the food, hoping for better service.
We had the fried Boudin balls. The inside was a creamy texture, kind of like broccoli cheese and rice. A little spicy at the end. Blackened fish Poboy sandwich with fries. The fries are not my favorite because they are the coated fries. But my daughter loved them. Grilled shrimp quesadilla is served with rice and pico and sour cream. The wait staff was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was good. We came at 1 PM and there was no waiting. Spring break on a Thursday.
It was a Saturday evening with a long wait for a table so we sat at the bar. It took about 20 minutes to get the bar tender's attention and another 20 to get a drink. It was like that all night and some people even gave up and left without being served, other left without paying! The food was also mediocre.
this restaurant is a hidden gem. It started off a little slow with the waiter not being very accommodating but the food is good and as long as you dont need alot of attention from the server you will enjoy the food
