Stopped in this past Saturday with my kids after being out in the heat to check out a Tall Ship that was in port at Pier 21. This is a seat yourself and order at the bar. We got just the basic cheeseburger and it was pretty tasty. My kids got mini corndogs and chicken strips which they devoured. The onion rings were delicious too. It is a small place right on the strand so it has that small historic feel to it. What I did like very much was that they had a water and ice station set up. It was great because of the heat and you serve yourself. All of the staff and the bartender were super nice. It was a busy place but everyone was great. Even though it is primarily a bar it was still suitable for my kiddos. I could see myself going back to have drinks and another bite to eat.
Great atmosphere. Great cocktails. Great bartender. The food is good - won’t knock your socks off - but good. Try the lavender margarita. We didn’t have dessert but the cakes looked homemade and were huge.
Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Ordered drinks and food. The drinks were forgotten and had to remind the bartender we ordered them, but everything was really delicious.I got the sticky burger which was amazing and the country fries (gravy was soooo good!)Definitely want to try some of the other specialty burgers on the menu
Horrible place because the manager is a POS. He threw the receipt at us across the bar. Surely there are cameras. Employees behind the bar were apologizing for his horrid behavior. The guy is complete garbage. All because we said the cake was dry.
Decent burger but way overrated and average food in a less than impressive old bar. Service is not great and ordering at the bar comes with a helping of attitude. You can do a lot better than this!
This place was such a great surprise. Service was excellent and the food was decadent. I ordered the cheeseburger Cheeto burger and the hubs ordered a Philly cheesesteak burger. We got a side of Philly fries to share. Yes, it was a heart attack waiting to happen, but it was delicious. This location is notable for having a full bar an extensive cocktail list. The next time I'm not leaving without a slice of Tiffany blue carrot cake.
Atmosphere is eclectic, inviting, and has that vintage "stepping back in time" feel once you walk in. One of the waiters was outside the restaurant, and he was quite friendly and invited me inside. I sat at the bar, and was given a menu, and felt welcomed. Ordered the fried cheese curds (delicious), and was given a choice of dipping sauces, chose the ranch (of course). A very friendly & personable woman working behind the bar made me one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had, complete with the black cherries--absolutely delicious!! A guy sitting next to me at the bar had ordered a burger, and it was huge, definitely make room for eating.. I had just stopped in for a drink and a quick snack before going exploring in the downtown area.
One of the best burgers we've ever tasted. Varied menu and friendly customer service. Would definitely go there again.
Place was great! Drinks were outstanding! You have to try their Grasshopper! The fries are crazy fun!
I don’t know what happened to this place or if I remember it more fondly than it deserved but our burgers were really terrible. Dry meat patties and really dry weird buns. Cold cheese curds but the fries were really good. So disappointed. At $11 for just burger with no fries or drink included we should’ve gotten better quality food. We had a plain cheeseburger, a sticky burger and a tamale burger.
