I suspect the lower ratings are either one-off bad experiences or tourists that expect too much. To be clear, I was a tourist. The service was not ultra fast, but just slow down for a minute and enjoy the noisy, diverse atmosphere. Was very nice to be somewhere where the crowd wasn't all just American tourists (like my family). The food was outstanding. The flavor of the pork tacos and my wife's chicken nacho specialty was as good as any Mexican/Tex-Mex food I've ever had. Beer was cold and the green salsa was perfectly spicy for me. "Family friendly" probably isn't quite the word I would use. I have a bit of a drama queen 4 year-old so a couple of the 'day of the dead' decorations freaked her out. But they had a good kids menu with food quality that was well above expectations.

It was hit & miss. We went with a large group. Some items were excellent (fried tripas were excellent, and tortilla soup). Some of the other basic items were mentioned to be very average.Overall I'd go back again, but don't expect everything to be amazing and you'll be satisfied

Came in with high hopes , was greeted nicely but sat at a table that was still dirty with food on the seat, staff was nice at first but afterward ignored us took a while to take our order and messed up my food. Got a fajita salad meat had no flavor and they gave me the wrong meat as well. Friend got chalupas the beans were cold and tortilla was soggy.

Pros: authentic, filling, now accepts credit instead of cash only. Good prices, locals eat here Cons: recipes changed since last time. I was looking forward to the older way that there gorditas were made...changed and I was disappointed.

Everything about this place shouts out GOOD AUTHENTIC FOOD. From the decor, to the drinks to music playing in the background. However this food is far from authentic, it lacked flavor but the service was great. I ordered one of their larger chicken burrtios which looked great but looks can be deceiving. The rice tasted almost like white rice but was colored orange with bits of corn which tasted like they were from a can. The chicken tasted tasted as it was tenderized thin like a piece of paper and boiled in a pot of water with not even salt. They only thing I could taste was the lettuce since they filled the burrtio with more lettuce than rice and chicken. 10 out of 10 would not come here again.

Nice location! Certainly looks authentic, in terms of the way the restaurant looks! The food, however, had no flavor. Being my first visit, I ordered two beef fajita tacos. I ended up eating the meat because I was hungry, and for no other reason. The service was ok, not exactly friendly, but not unfriendly either. The green sauce was very good. The salsa wasn't worth ruining a good chip by dipping it. They also serve canned drinks. That kinda was a bummer too. I won't go back, but you might give it a whirl! Maybe it was just an off day for me.

For the price it's a great deal, big servings and it tasted great. Very nice staff. It's not fancy, but very clean and cheery, it strikes me as a good place to take kids. Mexican music playing was nice.

The customer service was really good. They were attentive and fast. Food not my favorite, but I have to try other plates.

This is by far one of the best Mexican breakfasts I've ever eaten. My wife had Huevos Mexicana and I had Chilangas. Both were outstanding. Their homemade corn tortillas are perfect!

Arrived here from Houston to eat breakfast and a walked at the beach . And to my dismay they don’t serve breakfast after noon. That’s sucks when you wake up and had no breakfast all I wanted was a warm breakfast ughhhhhh then they take forever to get our order…. Another Wamy Burger “Falling Down”” not my favorite place any more..
