The portions were big, the food was delicious, the service was amazing. We eat here every time we come to town.

There were small things that could have been overlooked as a busy (Monday) night. Asking for kids menu twice, no silverware or napkins even after appetizers were served and main course meals took an hour to be served (still fine because the ambiance is very pretty)… But what made us the most upset is the fact that after waiting said hour for our food, My steak that was supposed to be medium rare was well done inedible saw dust. When the waiter came up and asked how everything was tasting I showed him and said it was extremely over cooked and dry. Instead of offering to do anything about it he said: Oh sorry that’s just the way the chef cooked it. And walked away. That put a worse taste in my mouth than the steak itself, because why even ask what temp a steak should be cooked if I’m just going to have to “get what I get”. I found it to be extremely rude, and although the ambiance is one of my favorites in Galveston we won’t be coming back.

We loved everything from Drinks to Food and everything in between will be back again....

Food and drinks took a long time to arrive. Ordered a sangria swirl margarita at the same time as our stuffed jalapeí±o appetizer and received the appetizer first, once I did receive my drink I had to send it back because it was not made with sangria. Food took at least another 30 minutes to arrive as well and was just okay.

The waiter was awesome! The value was a bit pricy but considering location. We only have one issue, ordered multiple plates with crab cakes, each bite we were picking out crab shells out of our mouths. Yes it’s understandable there might be some here and there but it was excessive and one piece was so big that I could of choked. We told the waiter and he said oh I should of told you there would be some but let me speak to the chef. He came back and said yes that normal because we use real crab. I just replied ok but being a chef myself the amount of shells was absolutely unacceptable. The method the chef used to get the crab meat was probably not the proper way.

The food was outstanding and the service was great.

Our waiter did his best- but they were either very short handed & unorganized. My food didn’t come out til all were finished. It was kinda crazy.
