Maybe it wasn't all that good because it was during the 4th of July weekend and they were busy and short staffed. I ordered barbacoa taco and pancakes. Took close to 30 minutes to get the food and only then did the waitress tell me they were out of barbacoa. So I just had the pancakes, which I feel would not be a good choice to gage a Mexican restaurant on, but I didn't want to wait any longer for something else. If I eat there again I'll update my review but for now, just ok in my opinion. Didn't take pics for the obvious reason.
Wow I never had such awesome food in my life it was Soo delicious our server was fast and nice our drinks and food only took a few minutes to come I would definitely come back here
Seems like a nice little place. My first time here. Came recommended from a friend. They were a little slow to offer assistance with a Togo order, but were friendly
Bad costumer service and they were out of everything we asked for. Finally got our food and was not what we expected very much rushed and overall just not cooked well. If you looking for good athentic Mexican food this is not where it's at.
You can't go wrong with whatever you order. The pancakes, menudo, oatmeal, the food is good. It's a local restaurant & hidden in the neighborhood near the Strand.
Our hotel recommended and it did not disappoint! REAL traditional Mexican food. We were in for breakfast and loved the laid back family atmosphere, prices were fair, food was off the charts and the service was good! Surprise burrito(my son) carne guisada(me) and the is rancheros(my husband) we’re all delicious! Next trip we’ll be back!
Easily the best food I have had in Galveston. I had the chilaquiles verdes plate and my husband had the flautas. Everything was super flavorful and the flautas were super crispy! The beans were delicious ? and the service was great even though they were very busy. Definitely must try.
Menus were a wrinkled piece of paper in a plastic school binder. Got a flimsy plastic fork wrapped in a small napkin. Enchiladas were below par. Charro beans were cold, weird color, no taste. Cubed potato’s we’re cold and old. Taste like yesterdays potato’s. No cream with coffee. All was terrible then Went to pay and they charged me 15% gratuity with 4 people. Manager/owner needs to pay attention to the details and step it up.
I ordered a burrito and it tasted like a steak chalupa from Taco Bell.
Delicious authentic Mexican food! Love the homemade tortillas! ?
