Good place for really fresh fried shrimp. So 5 stars for shrimp; 5 stars for lady who took our order; 2 stars for gentleman who begrudgingly handed us knapkins. Mind you that other than the slaw this is a hands on meal. Knapkins should be a pleasure to hand out. Might seem like a small deal, but a smile goes a long way.

Stop at Darlene's Shrimp Shack while on the island. You won't be disappointed!! We were on the hunt for a fried shrimp food truck and so glad we stopped here! They are some of THE BEST shrimp we've ever had. We got the regular and cajun. YUM!! Got our food in less than 10 min.

Amazing!!!!! By far the best shrimp I have ever had …. If you don’t check out this place while in Galveston you are cheating yourself ….. so fresh and so many ways to try them my only regret was my stomach not being bigger to try them all !!! 6 out of 5 stars 4 sure !!!

Some of the best shrimp I’ve had IN.MY.LIFE. Thank you all, great family business. Our entire family is still talking about it in the car. 3 baskets, 4 people..perfect.

The the gentleman running the stand was very pleasant and the whole stand set up by the water was unbelievably beautiful. After spending a day on Jamaica Beach we turned around and went right back past to Darlene's shrimp shack and was totally worth it. Highly recommend the place.

My mom has been wanting to come here since January when I moved to the Island. She absolutely loved it and she was blown away by the shrimp slaw!! Thank you for treating Mrs. Pat so wonderfully!!

Wanted some shrimp found this food truck was glad we did !! I ordered the Coconut Shrimp it was far most the best shrimp I ever ate. I will definitely come back for more ?

The shrimp are big, but sometimes the poop veins are still attached & highly under seasoned. We tried the coconut and Parmesan & decided to take them all home to doctor them up & airfry which is a bummer for $16, $17 10-piece shrimp. The “seasoned fries” should be called something else. I will say they are battered very nicely though and the workers are super sweet. Hush puppies are good!

Sooo glad we found this local food truck on our latest trip to Galveston. The shrimp were huge, fried and seasoned to perfection, and really reasonably priced. The sides (fries, shrimp slaw) were really good, too. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking to avoid the frilly tourist spots.

A great little place to stop for big shrimp flavor. Like homemade from shrimp boat to your palate. Yum ? just try it?
