Currently only open for breakfast and lunch (closes at 2:30pm).Stopped by for an early lunch. Nice and bright dinning room. The guacamole was excellent. Good chips and salsa (although, I prefer a thicker salsa). I tried the enchilada plate, which had a chicken, cheese and beef enchilada. Good all around. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that their waitstaff could work on their attentiveness. Plenty of staff, but very little visits to the table. I'm definitely coming back to try their breakfast options. Definitely worth a visit! Finding a parking spot can get tricky.

First time coming, great experience. Very nice and helpful service. Food was fantastic! Breakfast burrito was half the size of the plate! ?So good, had to go back the next day.

Food was on point! Good coffee ☕️ Wonderful friendly service. Greeted us with a smile. I had the Huevos Rancheros it was good. (I always get my salsa on the side, incase I don't like it). Salsa okay, needs more flavor. I like my salsa a bit more spic?. Eggs were perfect (I already cut them up). My son ordered the Chilaquiles Mix with eggs. This dish is tasty. (I recommend). My granddaughter wanted eggs and ham mix. Good corn and flour tortillas.Definitely will return to try lunch/dinner while I'm here. ?They serve a nice portion of food too! ??$$$

This restaurant has the Best Mexican food on the Island. And the nicest servers too. Love the Breakfast ?

Always a 5 star place with the greatest breakfast burritos on the island but this place needs to seriously pick it up a notch. Parking lot is extremely small as well as the restaurant itself and not to mention its not in the greatest location to begin with. I’m a regular customer and I totally understand that its a Saturday and wait staff is busy but when you have customers waiting at the register for 10 minutes before even being acknowledged which there sets a bad example on your customer service. It took 3 workers to notice me standing there after stating I had a pickup order. First lady at the register literally just walked away, the second guy cashed out the couple behind me, lastly I didn’t get her name but the third worker asked me did anyone help or talk to you? No ma’am and I get everyone was in a rush on a Saturday but I feel the atmosphere would be better if they expanded in size. Overall, I love me some Bambu and I will still continue to be a customer.

I would come back. The tortillas are thick and large. The eggs in my burritos were needing more salt. I should have asked for more jalapenos than typical for the Mexicana huevos. My wife said the beans were good so I should have added them to my breakfast burritos. The salsa is flavorful but not hot, some kick. She had the huevos divorciados and loved everything on the plate.

I believe I found the best Mexican food in Galveston. I had the quesadillas with chicken and steak, and they were awesome. Their charro beans were also outstanding, and their rice was just amazing.

Came into town for a wedding. Asked the local Starbucks staff for a Mexican restaurant recommendation. They said “hands down Bam bu’s”. It did not disappoint!! Authentic me Ivan food in an American cafe setting. Everything was great but the chicken enchiladas were the bomb!! Eat them before we could take a pic.

Wow! a new favorite! Staff was polite and available but not hovering. We went around 11:30 and by the time we left the lunch crowd was pouring in. Was a little pricey compared to La Estacion and El Jardin but service was super fast, food cooked to order, served piping hot and was delicious. Plus there was a huge amount! Homemade tortillas were buttery and not too thick or thin. Husband had huevos rancheros and I had migas. Salsas, rojo and verde were homemade. The guacamole was creamy goodness. Homemade chips too. We’ll be back!Went back today, we reversed our order and both enjoyed. Lots of food, enough for leftovers. Still yummy!Update 2/14/2021: Props to Bambu, although a couple of days late. They close at 2:30 and we walked in behind two others at 2:25 last Sunday before Icepocalypse. They welcomed us in and did not hover or hurry us. We had steaming hot, generous portions of huevos rancheros, migas and corn tortillas. For under $20!!! Third time we’ve been and never disappointed.Went yesterday and I had the Barbacoa Gordita ($5), Husband had the barbacoa Street tacos ($7). We could have easily split either and been full. Barbacoa was excellent, well done and not fatty! The gorditas came with a salad and guacamole. Delish!!12/10/21. We’re officially regulars! Today I strayed from the Huevos Rancheros and got the BEC breakfast burrito because I wanted less food. Not! $4.95 for this delicious monster burrito pictured below.

Bambú is a cool place aesthetically, Ive been going there since I was a kid when it was under a different name and smaller and its still as cool as always.
