We ordered from Green Gator Frisco by Doordash. Food arrived hot and everything was there as ordered. The order was a 4 piece catfish dinner, 2 Jambalaya, a shrimp creole and appetizers were crab stuffed jalapeños and hushpuppies. The catfish was tasty but the fillets were super small epically with the 25 dollar price tag for the plate. Jambalya was soupy and lacked flavor. Shrimp creole was also runny and watered down. Red beans and rice was good and spicy. Crab filled japalenos were mushy inside and filled with lots of fillers and a little crab meat. Overall it was not up to par for the price.

Was able to step out tonight and relax, while the kids enjoyed the fair with friends. We had the best service. Casey was so attentive and anticipated our every need. It was busy, and the kitchen was super pressed, but we still got our food quickly, and the drinks were delicious. We ate on the patio, because the weather was perfect! I had the cucumber mule and it was so yummy! If you get the chance to go visit, ask for Casey and you won’t be disappointed!
This place is unprofessional. I put in an online order at 2:45pm. It told me it'll be ready at 3:22pm curbside pick up. I arrived to curbside and noticed that no one has came out, I go inside to confirm my order with the bartender, (telling her my name) she looks it up online, I assume she's getting it ready, instead of communicating and letting me know there was something wrong. she doesn't then brings me an order that isn't mines. I'm talking on the phone with a friend telling her how this place is unprofessional the bartender hears me and tells her manger, the manger comes out and talk to me. I explained to him how I put in online order in at a certain time I get here and its not ready, he tells me that just because the food says it'll be ready at this time doesn't mean its ready .. I repeated to him what he said to make it make sense and that didn't make sense to me he decides to argue with me instead of apologizing and letting me know he's handling it.. he causes a scene in front of everyone which is not suppose to happen while dealing with a customer. I told him i was a server and I know how things go if there was a mistake you're suppose to communicate those things, I was still on the clock for work and wanted to just grab the food and go but instead I still ended up waiting in my food to get made and arguing with the manger. He tells me that he's going to give me credit and not give me the food I said okay that's fine, time past I ask the bartender what's the hold up, she tells me that since I called her unprofessional I need to speak to her manger.. she finally brings me my food I ask is it mines she slams it on the bar.. I do not recommend this place I heard it was racist, I didn't care and still wanted to try the food.. now that I have the food it was disgusting no wonder people were at the bar just drinking
So based on the title of my review you can say about the only good thing was the appetizer of fried green tomatoes and even then the amount of remaloude sauce that was sprinkled did not add to the dish so basically it was just green tomatoes. The crawfish apparently have a dry seasoning but again not existent so make sure if you want it you are very clear on that or it just be hit crawfish and no seasoning on the crawfish and potatoes and corn very plain. As for the service I would say maybe it would have been different with another waiter but I will never know as I couldn’t get a different waiter to come over and help and don’t even as the runners for anything cause apparently asking for some butter for dry corn and potatoes is a difficult task! So one star cause the food was ok but everything else was horrible there are a lot of better places to go so do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!
I’m giving the location 3 stars because the food was great, but the service was awful. I ordered online for pickup and when I entered the restaurant, I stood behind another party waiting to be seated. A man at the host stand seated that group and instead of coming back to greet me and asking if I need help, he walked past me as if I were invisible. I proceeded to go to the bar and wait for the bartender to acknowledge me. I told her I had a to go order and instead of asking me any details about my order or offering to check on the status, she told me to go back to the host stand a wait and someone would bring it out. I went back to the host stand and waited. Another party walked in and the same male host came back and acknowledged the party that just came in and ignored me. Even after the party said “she was here first…” After seating them, the male host asks what I needed and when I said, “To go order” I was told again, “someone else will come help you with go to orders…” As I was about to cancel and leave, the to go person finally came with my order. The food was great but there was ZERO customer service. No one welcomed me in or said thank you for waiting or even acknowledged me. For those reasons, I won’t be returning.
The breaded gator tail is excellently seasoned. My favorite dish is the blackened redfish with rice.
We were in Frisco for the National Championship FCS football game. We decide to explore a little and found this Oasis in Frisco. Just east of the tailgating area. This little bar and restaurant is the perfect place to get ready for the game. We had breakfast and hung out for a while before kick off. My wife had the breakfast tacos. They were good sized and tasted great. I had the seafood omelette sandwich. It was excellent. Our son had a breakfast sandwich. The food is amazing. The service was superb. Ash the owner is a super guy. They treated us real good we are MSU bobcat fabs and it is a NDSU place. But I can’t say enough good about the bar the staff and ALL the football fans. I highly recommend the Green Gator if your ever in Frisco.
I first experienced this restaurant in Irving so, once I saw there was a location in Frisco I had to visit to get more Monica pasta to go. This location is so much bigger and I said that to the lady at the bar which was a very nice lady named Tia. She informed me that this was the original location. I came back to dine in because of Tia and to my surprise she was my waitress for the day. Again, such a sweet lady, she was very knowledgeable about the menu, she was warm, and very welcoming. The atmosphere is like home. I will be back. Thanks again.
Waiter was attentive and quick to serve us. The sampler was well seasoned and cooked well for the most part. I am not an oyster fan; it was too chewy for me. The sausage was ok. Tasted a little dry. Next time I will order bread on the side and not in the dish. The shrimp is fresh, nice sized and cooked well. I love Gouda grits and these were delicious! My friends enjoyed the chicken and waffles as well as the sampler. The dipping sauce had a nice flavor as well. I can tell if the Cowboys were playing it would be packed. Covered outdoor seating is an option as well. Nice casual atmosphere.
