New ownership/management is terrible. Sever gave a disgusted look and almost rolled her eyes when we requested the "all you can eat" menu. Odd to still offer it yet get annoyed when customers request it? She said it was $32 and said here are the rules and handed us a list of like 12 rules. We knew the price already and the basics of having to eat everything or you will get charged. I understand if she is obligated to tell everyone and I don't mind that, except that what she went about it it was as if she was trying to get us out of doing all you can eat. As if she was mad we were going with that option, THEY offer. After she gave us the menu she hovered right next to us watching us check items on the little menu. It was the weirdest thing ever. Was right next to us asking "ready?" every time we checked an item on the menu. Like 3 times in one minute?? While we waited on our food a couple came and sat down. Got their drinks. Then just ended up leaving. No clue why or if it was cause of this same server, but they were upset when they left. We ate and food wasn't bad but not as good as the "old Zen." After we ordered two rounds. The lady quickly brought the bill before we even finished eating. I was pretty full and probably wouldn't have gone for a 3rd round but idk. It's just so clear they didn't want us to order more even though it was unlimited rounds. We weren't even halfway through our second round and she brought the check. Why offer all you can eat if that is how you will react when customers order it? Most uncomfortable dining experience.Somewhere in all of that mess. The lady just refilled my coke glass with water. Brown water? I asked for another coke and she emphasized 3 times I was going to get charged for it, as if making sure I was sure about what I was ordering?

My husband & myself with another couple dine here July 23rd, 2022 for lunch and we were not impressed @ all.The food was just okay (the combination fried rice was the smallest portion of fried rice I ever seen). Also, the service "Sucked" on every level. The little old lady that was serving was rude. We asked for extra napkins she brings one napkin when clearing it was four of us seating @ the table. My suggestion would be that she attend some classes to brush up on her skillset in customer service. Will not return & Will not recommend !!!

Sushi Zen is definitely one our our go to sushi places. The Cowboy, Shrimp and Dragon rolls are our favorite. Everything is extremely fresh and made to order. We haven’t had a item on the menu that hasn’t been good so far. Anytime we’re in the area, we always make it a priority to stop in. Highly recommended for sure!

My wife and I came to eat here during the slow hours, and were seated at the sushi bar in front of the chef. We were simply blown away with the experience. I ordered the Sashimi combo, pictured here, which allows the chef to choose cuts of fish. He took the time to explain the fish they carry and had us sample a few extra. It's obvious he takes pride in the product they have. Everything was fresh and beautiful, and we were not expecting the detail with which our dinner was prepared and served. We will absolutely be back.

Unfortunately new management has taken over and made some sad changes. Seems like Covid really did a number on this place, even before the change in management. They were trying hard to stay afloat with inflation and economy problems so it’s not entirely the new management’s fault. This place used to be amazing and super affordable a few years ago. Their all-you-can-eat used to be something like $18. Quality of sushi went down dramatically with new management, including now insane prices. Sadly they would not let me order my favorite roll unless I got the all-you-can-eat which was an astounding $32. Very sad since I am vegetarian and the spicy veggie roll was the only roll I truly enjoyed. I really hope this place can make it, even if I won’t be coming back:(

I ate here years ago and was not as impressed back then. It seems like they have new management and the quality of their food and service have definitely improved! My husband really enjoyed the spicy vegetable roll as he does not see much different vegetarian options for him often and this was the first time we saw a spicy veggie roll on a menu. The spicy veggie roll was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of jalapeño and the batter was very light and just perfect. My Maui roll was also really fresh and was definitely very filling. The shrimp tempura was also perfect, the batter was not overwhelming and was very crispy and not greasy at all! I will definitely be coming back soon to try their other rolls!

The sushi was okay, but I don't think it was worth $37 for one person. I noticed they kept asking if everything was okay. I wasn't sure if that was because they were worried (didn't see any other customers), or genuinely wanted to know that. I'm willing to bet if they dropped the price back to at least $20, they would probably start to see at least 3x more customers. I could tell from the receipt, I was their 2nd customer for the day (during the busiest hours). I would go back if it was $20, but not for $37(honestly I think even $25 is pushing it).I also don't think it's fair to say the pandemic caused these rising prices. We were under a pandemic for a year in 2020, and the prices stayed the same. I can also see reviews saying it was $14.99 two years ago (2020, during pandemic). So I'm sure it was something else (avoiding politics though...).

The sushi is excellent. A rare find in Frisco for All you can eat sushi. It’s $27.99 but includes sushi pieces and a variety of rolls with lots of fish and not too much rice. It’s under new management as of Feb 2022. This is our new go to place.

Stopped by for lunch, first time coming back here since the pandemic. Pre-pandemic lunch was $14.99 per person all you can eat; now it's $25.99 per person for all you can eat sushi no matter what time of day. The rolls had more rice than I remember, and overall seemed to lose a little quality, less meat per roll. They no longer have their soda machine, bottled sodas (mine happened to be flat so that was a bummer). Compared to other all you can eat sushi places nearby the price is now about the same, still better than ordering off the regular menu. The service was excellent, all of the staff was great. Just disappointed how the pandemic changed this place.

We had two teriyaki chicken bento boxes. The salad had what appeared to be French dressing on it, and the dressing had been sitting there a while on the lettuce. In fact, everything seemed like it had been sitting for a while. The California rolls were warm and gross. Even the iced tea tasted awful. I’m not feeling too confident about how I’m going to feel later. Avoid like the plague.
