I walked in & had to make my order on a kiosk. There was no place to add to from the way the burger was original made. They have also taken away the option, I am guessing, to add the different toppings on the French fries. Then when the food is done, whether for dine in or to go, they call a number that is on your receipt. The lady, after I told her that was my order (I was getting me some tea) looked at me like she was telling me to hurry up & get this bag.I will NOT be back, unfortunately, if this is how service is going to be here.
Y’all…. We have given this place 3 tries and been disappointed every time in the overall atmosphere. I will say this time that the cook was working really hard, as well as most of the staff I saw, so although they could still be understaffed it doesn’t seem to be a people problem. The issue is that it is overall quite dirty in general and the overwhelming smell can knock your appetite right into next week. I am nearly certain by now there is some kind of sewage problem because it always smells like waste in the restaurant and really bad over by the bathrooms. No ketchup, food takes extremely long, and the food isn’t bad but just not what you get at other locations and by the time you get it you’re just ready to get out of there. Definitely feels like they’re cutting corners to get by. This is our closest location and would love to see some improvements done to have a better experience.
When you've been on the road all day this was definitely a Great decsision to stop here....The awesome staff, fast service, & amazing food.
food was awesome. Staff was great
Went to Steak N Shake today and it wasn't very good. The wait time was excessive, the bun was cold, the fries were cold and the shakes didn't taste like shakes, they were more like and ice cream icee. On that note there were only 3 people working and they were doing the best they could. I give those 3 young men credit for trying so hard. I know it's not their fault, they were working hard. They were just severally short handed. I was very disappointed after spending 25.00. Due to covid I don't eat out much and was excited and wantedr a treat but was disappointed.
**The employees are clearly trying their best and working with what they have. This review is not a reflection on them**Steak and Shake is unfortunately not what it used to be. I remember it being a very fun, lively, family restaurant that was also very affordable when i was a kid and teen. Now? Not so much. Prices went up and the experience went way down. Its kinda sad going in and seeing it so...desolate, we had hoped it would be a fun family experience like when we were kids. They were running on a slim crew (most likely the fault of the company itself, not employees). The food itself was good, but way over priced. Shakes are no longer in fun glasses and instead are just in a Styrofoam cup. Condiments and seasoning are no longer kept on tables either. I'm serious when I say it was like a weird alternate experience remembering how busy it used to be and now it's just a sad ghost town. The employees were friendly and working hard. This is clearly the fault of the company itself.
I’m in customer service and give the benefit of the doubt for bad service a majority of the time. But, this time was fairly ridiculous. They were completely dead at the time business wise. I got burgers, mini corn dog, chicken fingers and fries. Every single item was cold after pulling to the side for everything to be “cooked”. I don’t even have the energy to go back to have it remade. Such a shame.
We had very good meals at Steak 'n Shake. Steak 'n Shake is incredibly under rated. Our burgers and fries were made fresh to order. The lettuce, tomatoes and pickles were all fresh and crisp. And the food was tasty and flavorful. The dining room was clean too. I highly recommend this Steak 'n Shake location!

Fair warning: delivery people have priority over you if you go there to dine in.But yeah it's good food. Can't complain. Good milkshakes, good burgers, good fries, the usual.
