The ice tea is a must have with whatever entree you order.Come here on Wednesdays for discounted chicken and waffles.Mac N Cheese is okay, not worth the price.
This will be my first bad experience with a Slims Chickens. I went around 7 they were pretty slow so I figured it might be a hit and miss on freshness but this was pretty crabby. The meat was extremely dry. It was suppose to be tossed in Buffalo sauce but it barely had any. They didn’t ask what kind of sauce so I ended up with ranch. The fried pickles were extremely dark and tasted like the oil needed to be filtered or changed. Lastly the customer service could use some work and maybe advise the employees to not stand at the window playing on their phones and what looks to be used gloves they were putting back on their hands..
This place was good. This was my first time at this restaurant. I could have ordered over $50 of food as I saw so much that I liked. The food is better than the service. My questions were not answered. They can improve customer service. I got the tenders and wings combo. It was not enough food. I needed a bigger portion. Pricing is reasonable.
The chicken is OK, I like the assortment of sauces available, and the staff is competent, but that's about all the good things I can say about it. The ranch chips are HEAVILY over salted, like almost to the point of putting sandpaper in your mouth. A lot of the sauces have too much salt or too much sugar. The chicken was just mediocre and nothing to write home about, there are much better chicken places in the area.The pickup experience was also on par. Not bad and I liked the idea of the box they had on the counter to keep the food warm. Again, friendly and helpful staff so that's why they get an extra star. Overall just an underwhelming experience.
Really enjoyed my ranch chicken melt. It was using and fresh,. I'm the service was very quick. The place also has a nice patio area to eat outside if that's your thing.
The waffle was surprisingly awesome, it was perfect! Buttery, fresh and not dry! The chicken wings w/ buffalo sauce was delish! And the house chips…bruh!! So good.
Very tasty tenders and sandwiches. Waffle also adds variety to the menu. Shakes and desserts also look tasty, though I haven't had them yet.
I normally have a great review for Slim's. However, I'm not happy about my last experience. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken wrap meal only for it to have no buffalo sauce on my chicken. I had already waited in line for a bit and it was only 1 car ahead of me, so not sure why the wait was long. The fries were not fresh and tasty either. When I do go to Slim's I drive out to the Frisco location ever so often. This time I was not happy about my food.
Feel like this place should be way closer to 5 stars. Staff was fine - cordial, took our order, got it right and helped when needed. 5/5. I ordered the cayenne chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I got a little startled when I bit into the sandwich and it was so juicy!Fries are a polarizing subject. These were exactly my style - long, crispy but not crunchy and salty. 5/5. Toast had a nice crunch and was hella buttery- perfect.Hubby got a side of Mac and cheese to try. We are professionals at Mac so didn't want to commit to a full bowl. Surprisingly good for a fast food joint. I'd be fine being served that at a full service restaurant. 4/5.I'll be back to try the wings. We are also wing snobs almost as bad as mac and cheese so we had to make sure they passed the initial test first and they definitely did. Yummy!!
So usually there’s a guy there that’s nice who works the window super nice guy we like getting him. The new girl there was rude to my wife. My wife recently had her gallbladder out and can’t eat a whole lot of things my wife simply asked about the food if she knew how much fat was in it to make sure she can eat it. Instead of “I’m sorry no I do not know” the girl was rude to her gave her attitude like my wife asked something stupid. I don’t appreciate the attitude that was given to her. We come here a lot and haven’t had any issues over the years until tonight.
