While taking a stroll down Main after dinner at another restaurant the previous week, we noticed Simply Thai across the street and made a mental note to check it out. We got the opportunity to visit recently and unfortunately it was a overall disappointment. Walking in, the small counter service restaurant had an off-putting smell which seemed to be related to plumbing issues. Given this isn't exactly a new part of town, we chalked it up to either being an old building or possibly a problem they were having that night. Either way we were not going to be able to eat with the sewer-like odor, so we opted for a table on the patio despite it being close to 100 degrees outside. Said patio presented some seating challenges in and of itself with random mismatched tables and chairs and half of it being on a sloped, broken up sidewalk. We did find a clean 2 top right against the building on the only level part of the outdoor seating area. Once the food arrived, after waiting quite some time, it was not seasoned very well. I could definitely taste the heat but there was not much underlying flavor. To top it all off, the prices were pretty high given the taste of the food and all the above mentioned issues with the building itself. To be clear, it didn't taste bad, just not anything we would come back for to try other dishes. The staff was very friendly which makes me feel a bit bad for having to give such a low review, but I have to be honest about our experience in the hopes that this will be helpful feedback. We really wanted to like this place but with everything that didn't turn out well, it's unlikely we'd give it a second try.
We had enough of simply Thai's cheap business practice. They are always very cheap to give you a little food like it's from the kid menu while it's not cheap!! Look at the beef basil $14 for 5 pieces of beef and several broccoli. The pad woon seem like someone stole half oWill not give them business again!
Good food - ordered multiple items and all were pretty good. Thai iced tea can be little less sweet but was decent.Good service - staff at this location was very attentive. With the Sat rush, Food came out to table in no time.Good location - located on main st and unique setup for sure. They have both inside amd outside seating areas.
Just ok experience for us. I am a vegetarian and ordered basil fried rice and green curry fried rice. This is first that I saw some one put so much soy sauce in the basil fried rice. Just the color itself isn't appetizing. Taste isn't good as well. The green curry fried rice is much better compared to basil. Overall not the best experience.
Worst in quality and quantity. Ordered a take out and the Pad keeps mow noodles box was filled with cabbage with very little noodles and tofu. Also the fried rice quantity was to low. Will never order from this restaurant again. Last purchase .
Pretty good Thai place. I like the setup here. You choose a table and then go up to the counter to order your food and you self-service your own fountain soda. I like the self-service model that this place employs. As for the food, they have your quintessential menu that is typical for most thai restaurants. They also have 5 Spicey levels which I found to be a little underwhelming. I got the panang beef curry which was pretty good. Overall, not a bad place.
We have been eating here about 5 years now, and it’s about time I did a review. The staff inside are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If you are eating in the restaurant, you’ll have to order at the window and they will deliver your food to your table when it is ready. As a designer, I’m not a huge fan of the décor in the restaurant, I feel it could really use a makeover. However, the restaurant is in a great location and has a nice patio that overlooks Main Street. The food here is absolutely wonderful. It’s always cooked to perfection and we always receive piping hot food. Our favorites are the curry dishes. My favorite is the Green Curry with veggies, my daughter loves the Yellow curry with chicken, and my spouse loves the Massamun curry with tofu. My daughter has also had the Beef with broccoli here in the past, it looked and smelled great. Other than that, we’ve really never tried any other dishes here because we always crave the curries. One day we will explore some of their other menu options. We almost always order carryout and call in our order in advance of pick up. They do get pretty busy on the weekends, so just make sure you call in early to reduce your wait time. They are almost always pretty accurate on the time they tell you your food will be ready to pick up. The curries always come in plastic containers and the rice comes in a Styrofoam box.If you crave something delicious with spice and flair, I highly recommend you try Simply Thai Bistro. It truly is tasty satisfying food, at a great price.
OMG! This food was so good. I am from California visiting because my husband and I are relocating to Texas. I had a taste for Chinese food. It took me a long time to decide which restaurant to order from. I am glad I ordered from this one. Simply Thai Bistro was suburb. The customer service over the phone was excellent, the food was clean, fresh, flavorful, spicy and so good. When I come back; which I will, I will be ordering from them again.
We placed a catering order for large cashew nut chicken tray. The tray was less than half full.
Very tasty food. Simple yet tasty is what I would say. We went on Sat afternoon around 12 and got a table immediately. It has nice road facing sit out which is great option on a pleasant evening. Portion size is decent. Well priced. Staff is warm with smiling faces. You have to place order at the counter then the staff serves you food.
