In nutshell this place is quick casual good food!Great variety in food options, veg and non-veg available. From Dosas (my favorite) to momos and kathi rolls, along with desserts like paan ladoo and of course mango lassi! It’s got a very cool vibe with funny amd positive messages in the decor.Plenty of seating and friendly staff.
Ordered fried rice which was too salty, noodles which salty too, chicken biryani was worst in taste and had 2 drumsticks with the order, and mirchi bajji, got 4 pieces in the order, flour was hard and looked stale.. waste of $42. Don’t waste your money.
I have orderedrolls for kids and they have a side ! The side is completely spoiled ! It’s smells very bad ! What if kids gets hospitalized?? Don’t you guys check before you serve !! Low quality food ! Even the paneer and chicken not cooked properly!Management: if you see this message please take care !
Tried this place one more time and it’s definitely our last. Our other two experiences weren’t great but was giving them the benefit of the doubt since they were new and new places always have some kinks. After ordering our food and waiting over 45 mins and still didn’t get our food we were told they have catering orders and are not making our food yet. We then asked for a refund and they refunded partial and it wasn’t even for the amount of the food that we paid!! People were there trying to pick up takeout orders and they were having to wait too. They cannot handle orders when the restaurant wasn’t even full. I want the rest of the refund. Poorly ran. Lack of communication. Stay away. There’s many other places here to eat that a ran better and give much better service. We didn’t get our two items that are 11.99 each and we were refunded $20.99. @Desi District please refund me what I’m owed!
****If you have absolutely no where to go and want to wait hours for your food feel free to come here. This place is NOT fast food. Slowest, most disorganized Indian restaurant there is.****Today was the second time we have been here. The first time we came they forgot to make half our order. Even after reminding them multiple times that we were waiting on food they failed to prioritize our meal. Today when we arrived there was only 1 individual in front of us. Everyone else in the restaurant already had their food. All I ordered was a kati roll. It took half an hour to get the food. Even after asking a few times to the front lady to check on our food all she would say was 5 more minutes. Nobody in the front bothered to actually check on the progress. It seems as if the front and back staff don't communicate what so ever. When the food is ready to be given an individual would call out the number. The cashier was not giving anyone their receipt. How is anyone suppose to know what number they are? They seriously need to get everything in order.
Generally a reliable place for goto food but today wasnt such day. Ordered tandoori chicken and kids noodles. But the chicken was not cooked properly and noodles were made spicy sokids couldnt eat as well. Relying on fridge tonight.
We did Banquet in honor of cricket legend Desmond Haynes at Desi District. The food was excellent and service was beyond our expectations. the staff was really amazing that went above and beyond to help us.
I enjoyed the samosas. They were very tasty and had good flavor. The garlic naan was perfect. I have ordered curries twice now and each time asked for spice level to be high. Both times the base flavor was good but very bland. First time 2/5 spice level and second 1/5. I'll try one more time before moving on because otherwise it's a great place.
Biryani is good. They improved on fried rice. BUT OH MAN. no matter how much you tell them no spicy at all they still make it sooo mouth burning spicy. They don’t have half of their menu items. This is the major downside since they cannot cater to people who cannot handle that much spicy. Most of the Restaurants around this area do the same. Only restaurant which respects the spicy level as much as I know is Deccan- but sad that it’s not around this location.
We dined in, had the achari kati rolls and Delhi belly kati rolls, gulab jamun rasmalai, regular veg/potato samosa, and onion samosas. Each of the items was absolutely excellent and delicious. The kati rolls in particular are what I will definitely go back for again! Simple and clean place - someone was cleaning tables within minutes after customers left. Counter service is efficient.
