Like many of the reviews here, food is pretty good even for the price. The service, however, is subpar. Slow, inattentive, and basically horrible service.For example, after several minutes, we had to ask to be waited on once we were sat. It’s like the two waiters on staff were avoiding us. No drink refills, no one checked to see if we were doing well or if the food was good, food came prepared incorrectly, etc.As we left, our waiter, Ernesto, was near the front door with the hostess, socializing. They were both on their phones… which explains everything. At least the hostess was nice enough to say good bye and thanks for coming in. Ernesto didn’t look up from his phone at all.Not sure what we did to offend him.Positive? Bolognese dish and chicken parmigiana were very good.
On Saturday June 4, 2022 while visiting the Dallas metropolitan area, my friends were excited to take me Crudo for dinner. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately, and I was looking forward my dining experience. I ordered a spinach salad, and I was asked if I wanted to add a protein. I am a strict pescatarian; therefore, I requested shrimp be added to the salad and I asked how many pieces of shrimp would be placed on the salad. I was told that three (3) pieces of shrimp would be placed on the salad and although I thought that was VERY modest, I agreed. It was never discussed with me how much the up charge would be for adding this modest amount of shrimp to the salad. I order shrimp frequently, my food was delicious, and I did not have one complaint until the bill arrived. Our waiter was very professional and courteous and spoke to the manage on my behalf regarding being charged $21.00 for three (3) pieces of shrimp. I was told that each piece of shrimp was $5.00 and there was a $2.00 additional charge for each piece of shrimp to be fried. I couldn't imagine an appetizer portion of salad with three (3) pieces of shrimp added would be over $30.00! Although the bill was paid, this was extremely disappointing. As I was leaving, I also spoke to Spencer, the manager, and when I questioned this, his reply was, "that's what shrimp cost." I do not know where he is obtaining his shrimp from, but clearly he is price-gouging his customers. I do not plan to dine at this establishment again.
I have not visited Crudo in a while but, so glad I came back. The food was amazing. EVERYTHING! Great place for lunch too!
Did the owners change recently? My husband and I have been going here for years and our most recent visit was so, so bad. Food was only mediocre, cocktail recipes changed, the restrooms were horrifying - a grease mat from the kitchen used as a toilet mat, plunger visible under the sink, a sign off sheet hanging on the door haphazardly. There’s no furniture and the colors are completely off, and what like ones like beautiful windows/doors now have arrow stickers on them. Went from high end dining to less than subpar restaurant. So sad. We loved that place.
Our whole experience was so wonderful that I already told my husband we're going back with a group for my birthday in 2 weeks. Calamari was the best we've ever had. Everything was amazing, and we love their unique wine selection!
Great local restaurant. Staff is friendly and attentive. Food is amazing! Great place for desserts too. Must haves: Spinach Salad and the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Looking forward to returning soon.
Did not intend to find Crudo, but glad I did. Spencer, the owner, is an outstanding host, the customer service was A+ and the food was great! I had the shrimp and scallops and my dining companion had the chicken parmesan, both were delicious. This restaurant is highly recommended.
We loved this restaurant several years ago. Not anymore. Ordered bottle of wine. Not available. Manager would not substitute a different wine for similar price point. The wine list is limited. One diner at our table ordered lamb chops. Not available. Why can’t the waiter let you know what’s not available before you labor over the decision of what you are going to order? Here’s the kicker…the hostess never reported to Open Table that we arrived for our reservation. OT chastised us for not honoring our reservation. Will NOT return to #Crudo! Too many other quality places to dine.
Disappointing in every way. Short staffed. Food was lukewarm and mediocre. Our meal took over 2.5 hours and we ordered appetizer and entree only. We asked to see the manager but he did not come to our table. We ended up leaving without dessert. It was Valentine’s Day. Limited menu. What a disappointment.
Have always loved coming here, but yesterday we ordered a salad and tried to add grilled chicken as a protein and we were told we could not order grilled chicken because all of their chicken is pre-prepared for their entrees only. I was frustrated because the waiter told us they had gluten-free options through their salads. Obviously not if you want chicken. Very disappointed in this type of service in food selection!!!
