The "veggie" enchiladas was mostly all onion with a little bit of corn, little bit of tomato, 1 tiny slice of zucchini... The flavor was decent, but veggies were sad. Add some bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, cauliflower... Not just caramelized onions... Nice try, though. Aside from the extremely sad enchiladas with only 1 veggie, the service was great, and the house margarita on the rocks, also delicious.
They do not have gluten free options for hardly anything. In this day with the number of people that have celiacs to not have gluten free options is ridiculous. The manager wouldn’t even come over to answer any questions.
I have been a fan of Chuys for over a decade. The chicken tortilla soup is my fav in all of Dallas. The fajitas are outstanding but the Frisco Chuys on North Preston were surprisingly disappointing. I ordered a chicken/ steak combo fajitas for two and was thrilled at the enormous portions of meats! Nice! But sad to discover the steak fajitas were very chewy and hard to swallow. I took a couple of bites and couldn't finish or eat another steak fajita. However, I loved the chicken and all the sides. As you can see by the photo, we ate the chicken but left the steak. Very disappointed.
Been here for dine-in with friends. The place is very busy and there's a long wait during evening hours. They don't take reservations but you can join the wait-list online from the website after selecting a specific location. The ambiance is good, the staff is friendly. We had veggie enchiladas with boom boom sauce and chicken enchiladas with chicka boom boom sauce. Both were delicious. There are also complementary chips and salsa. The margaritas were very light. They do have virgin margaritas. The restroom is clean and the place is hygienic. Lots of space for parking available. I definitely recommend it.
Nice, clean, fun looking place. Got seated right away, really enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. The only thing I didn't care for was the salsa, it was more sour than hot or spicy. The other dip was a ranchy avocado kind of thing, way too salty.
Delicious! Went with a group of friends in town for the Texas Pinball Festival. Very tasty Tex-Mex food. I had the chimi, with the spicier sauce and it was super-delicious. Really loved the jalapeno ranch sauce! A buddy of mine got the boom boom sauce burritos, 4 days in a row! There's a reason this place is always crowded!
Recent 02/22/2022: Brother and I went to quickly say hi to friends who invited us to hangout after work. Received dirty looks from 2 gentleman employees (one with no hair and one with a full set), kept staring at us. One of them (no hair) confronted one of our friends and asked if we were bothering them/ selling them something...uncool.Other visit: Fun get together with colleagues after work at their patio. Very nice and clean. The lady who was serving us was very nice. Delicious food!
The service was good, the waiters and waitresses all seemed to be on point with their customers. The food was a different story. The food was okay. There are definitely other places with better Tex-Mex food. The lettuce on all my party members plates was brown. Good place if you just want to talk and have chips, queso, and maybe drinks.
Good food, server could be a little more friendly. Fajita steak was very chewy, not a good cut of meat. I asked for raw jalapeños on the side they brought me pickled. Server never checked on us so I couldn't ask her to correct it. Kids and wife loved the chicka chicka boom boom.
We were fooled twice by this place. We ordered via Door dash. So disappointing. The first time my hubs ordered a chimichanga and it was burnt and so tiny. The second time (tonight) he got a burrito plate. It showed up looking like a mess / kids meal. There was nothing in the tortilla but the meat and the tortilla was hard. We used to love this place but never eating here again!
