The service is great, the food it’s also very very good!!!
I wasn't very impressed with Chitos Authentic Mexican. I had been to the restaurant it was prior multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed their food and was happy to see there was another Mexican food chain to take over.My niece and I went to brunch to celebrate her birthday and her one wish was to have a mimosa. They were out of champagne so we could not have a mimosa, she ordered a mojito and I ordered a spicy bloody Mary. We waited forever for our drinks, when they finally came we had almost eaten a whole basket of chips! My niece enjoyed her drink but I didn't like mine at all, I had to spice it up myself, it was very bland.We ordered the appetizer sampler, we got a variety of different tacos, tamales, queso. The tacos were fine, the tamales did not have much meat in them, was really just the masa cornmeal. The queso was terrible! Tasted like cardboard? Really strange.Overall I was pretty disappointed in our experience.⭐⭐⭐
While in town for business trip I met my friend from high school who now lives in Plano Tx for a nice dinner at restaurant near the hotel I was staying in for the week.. We had good food and good times..
This is the first time I have ever written a review of a restaurant and I have visited many throughout the country; some great ones, some bad ones and everything in between, this experience takes the cake. To be fair, the food is average to good and the waitstaff try's hard to deliver. Now for the nightmare and why I will never set foot back in the establishment ever again. The owner is an unprincipled, lying, rude and totally ignorant human being. I started talking to her over a month ago about having a family function at the restaurant. She showed me a decent size private room that she indicated we could reserve for the function. This was critical to me as we would be celebrating several events with gifts and presentations. I made a reservation for the private room at a specific time and date. I even checked with her the day before to confirm, and she indicated that she would have it ready with a dedicated server for our event. I arrived 15 minutes early ahead of my guests to arrange for drinks and appetizers to be in place. To my complete astonishment there was another large group in the room that I had reserved. An individual identifying himself as the manager indicated that they had become very busy and had to seat another party in the room. I could not believe what was going on. My guests began to arrive, we were left standing around, finally after about 20 minutes we were able to get some drinks ordered and the owner came to talk to me. When I confronted her about the reservation I had made over a month ago for the private room she became argumentative and in our face nasty. She gave me some song and dance that all restaurants do the best they can to honor reservations but there is no guarantee. Restaurants that make a reservation for a private room for a special event honor their commitments, at least the good ones with integrity. I would have left right then but with a large group on a Saturday afternoon with several young children that were getting restless there was no chance of finding a venue to meet our needs. About 40 minutes after our reservation time the group occupying the room left. They set things up and we were finally seated. By now people were restless and the event had been basically ruined. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in the Frisco area with good food that will treat their guests respectfully. The only thing business owners like this understand is money and if you valve integrity and honesty, you will spend yours elsewhere, I sure will.
We visited on a Sunday night for a birthday dinner... 9 adults and 3 children... with no reservations. The staff got us seated immediately. A single server (Christiana) was excellent in getting all of our drink orders, appetizers and main meals delivered correctly and without issue. The food was hot and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and we will definitely return again.
The location is good. We went on a game night, so it was a little crowded, but overall, it has got a nice bar and a good list of dishes in the menu.
My wife and I love this place! Easily one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in Frisco. They have great Margaritas (and all day happy hour M-F), chips & Salsa are great, the Queso is incredible, and they have great entrees: basically everything you need to have a great Mexican restaurant. Would easily recommend.
We visited yesterday while on our way to see the Christmas lights at Frisco Square. Lovely place, large portions of food. The ambience was nice, people very friendly. We ordered crispy and chitos chimichanga, torta and Chile poblano. The nachos and salsa were delicious. Will visit again.
Worst place ever…. I have been there three times and each time it gets worse. I moved into the area and visited for the first time. They seated me on the patio and didn’t come back for 15 minutes to get my drink order and appetizer. Then she brought the appetizer and for got the drink. She took my order and never brought the drink. She came out with the food 25 minutes later and I told her just remove the drink order from tab because I was no longer interested. Upon completion I had sit there waiting for her to return but never did so I had to go get the bill and pay it on my way out the door. Poor customer service. Second time I went for lunch and order the fajitas, it came out cold and only three strips of meat. I asked her to warm it up and she came back with a few more pieces of meat and a warmer plate . Ordered a drink and told her to forget it again because she forgot to put the order in with the bartender. 3rd time is a charm. Finally I draw the line. I drove around 15 minutes looking for parking. This restaurant has no place to park. Walked 7 minutes from parking to come into eat and I asked how long was the wait . She informed me it would be a 5 minute wait. Lots of to go business. Two couples got seated before me. 10 minutes later I walk up and ask her how much longer she said it would be 15 more minutes. She lied from the beginning. I told her on my way out I was leaving that I would be doing a google review. She looked at me like she could care less. I am usually easy going but I will not be lied to or pay for horrible customer service. I don’t recommend this place and I hope they improve all the way around.
