My chicken & waffles wasn’t too bad. A little more seasoning was needed per my dining partners, and I wasn’t impressed by being handed a styrofoam cup for coffee while others were using actual mugs. Pancake was undercooked and even upon send back still was extra doughy/wet in the middle. I’d try something else, though. May visit again.
Well, I used to enjoy Bubba's when it first opened. Until I went there on Friday, February 18th. I ordered a 3 piece chicken and 2 piece catfish meal. I ordered a side of mashed potatoes for each meal, one with no gravy and green beans beans. I pulled up to the window to pay and the young lady who was supposed to be the cashier stood with her back turned to the window talking to her coworkers for about 3 mins before she even acknowledged that I was there. Then she proceeded to read back my order as if she didn't want to be there. I pay and go home. I get home and realize that I don't have any mashed potatoes in either order and the bread rolls are raw. The center is uncooked dough. (picture included). So I call Bubba's to let them know how disappointed I was with the food that I just drove across town to buy. I spoke to the manager Chris. He apologized and offered me 2 complimentary meals including drinks and dessert the next time I came in. He asked for my name and said he was writing it down at the moment.I returned yesterday, February 22 to get the two complimentary meals that Chris offered. I order what Chris offered and proceed to the cashier's window. I told the cashier that I spoke to Chris and he had authorized these complimentary meals. He goes to get Chris and the interaction when downhill from there. Chris proceeded question me about our conversation as if he did not remember. He said very aggressively "I don't usually offer dessert and drinks" "I said I would comp both meals?" I told him that I did not need to lie about about our conversation. He then replied "I didn't call you a liar" to which I replied "but you are implying that I am lying". He attempted to be condescending by cutting me off and saying "Young Lady! Your total is 12.32!" I asked him why I owed that if he was comping the meal and if he had written down my information including what he offered me during our conversation. He replied by taping excessively hard on the POS and yelling at the crew "make sure you get her order right!!" I said that was all I was looking for the first time I paid for my meal.To make it even funnier, I get to window to pick up the food and they proceed to hand me the WRONG ORDER! I tell the young man at the window that this was not my order he was perplexed. He goes back to Chris who tries to give me a dirty look and says something to the young man. The young man comes back to the window, apologizes and says my order will be up shortly. At the end of the day the entire business has gone down hill due to poor management. The whole time that I was waiting for my food, the kitchen crew was standing around chit chatting while the drive thru line was wrapped around the building. Chris could be seen yelling at them and them rolling their eyes. There were cars in front of me still waiting for their food to be brought out the door. I hate to see the lack of management skills ruin a good establishment.
First time eating here! The chicken fried steak was AMAZING! My Father loved the fried catfish! The green beans were also good. Didn't care for the Mac & Cheese. The chicken was good, not as good as Babe's though!Overall, we'll definitely eat here again!
Our first time there, and we had Exceptional customer service from the time we walked in to the time we left...we all had the chicken fried steak, fresh and hot cooked when ordered... Didn't wait long for our food to arrive Once we ordered... We will be back

Delicious food and friendly staff.
Interesting place. Inside has the look of an updated 50s diner, but instead of 50s music, you get Hank Thompson and Conway Twitty. You order at a counter then take your food with you to the tables. You have a choice of plastic wear, or real silverware in a cloth napkin. We were about the only customers at 8pm, and though they were short staffed (with help wanted signs everywhere you look), the employees were pleasant and friendly even near closing time.Food was overall pretty good. Liked the chicken & waffles, salad was unusual, with pinto beans in it, but it was small and left something to be desired. Honey and maple syrup on the tables. Cornbread was good, yeast roll was dry & crumbly, mac & cheese was meh, but fries were unique and excellent, with a lime salt taste. The Chicken strips were pretty small, but my 3 piece actually came with 5 and they tasted good, so that was okay.Overall the quality of the food was similar to Canes, but more unique and more expensive.Several tables needed cleaned & the floor was greasy but it was the end of a long day.Don't think it will be one of our favorites, but I'd be happy to eat here again.
I got the chicken tenders so I can really only speak to that. Chicken was pretty good but had quite a bit of tissue throughout. The fries were good and had a hint of lime. The mac & cheese honestly tasted like they got it at the dollar store and put it in the microwave. The roll tasted so bad that I had to spit it out. The gravy was decent but lacked seasoning. As far as staff goes, they were very polite and friendly but seemed like they didn’t really care, they spilt my gravy all over my plate and didn’t blink an eye. The restaurant was clean on the inside and has a very old diner type style. The prices were outrageous for the food you get. The food is something I would be willing to eat again but not at that price point. If you enjoy new experiences maybe try it but don’t set your standards high, if you are just hungry and you want food, there are many much better places for half of the price here.
Chicked was crispy, hot and delicious. Rolls were hot & yummy! Green beans were homestyle and cooked well but the fried Okra stole the show. I'm not even an Okra person and these were the best Ive ever tasted. Its hard to find well cooked Okra! I tasted my Dad's okra and wished I had ordered some for myself. The salad was fresh & crisp and the pecan pie was very good as well. Definitely on our list to come back!
Our place to eat amongst every Sunday morning before church. Delicious home cooked breakfast. Coffee is fresh!!! Always friendly!!! Love this place & they play all old school music, which is an awesome vibe.
