The food and service was great all around! Our server, Wesley, was absolutely great! Will definitely come back on our next trip to Fredericksburg!
Disappointment is a fitting word to describe this place. Ordered chicken parmesan to go, Got back home and found the top of the chicken was burnt into oblivion. The meal was also supposed to come with a salad, but It didn't. Save your money
Came in with a medium sized party, 9 people. Drinks took forever. The drinks ran dry a few times. Numerous mix ups with our order. This location was not busy at all. Pizza sauce was extremely watery. Maybe that's the style, but not for us. The pasta was looking like a stew. The dough was delicious. Albeit super oily. The garlic knots were top notch.the other odd thing was we believe they put sugar on our fries instead of salt.... This might be a thing they do, but again, not for us. I could see this being a great location worth a five, but between the mix ups, long wait times, and watery pasta sauce. it just isn't there. With all the competition of restaurants in the area, it will be a while before I attempt to go back.
As others had noted, soggy or undercooked crust, so I ordered my delivery gluten free pizza well done. Arrived on time, very nice delivery fellow - BUT, ... soggy pizza, ... Exactly HOW does one accomplish that on a well done pizza??? I do NOT recommend this place, boo !!!
We ordered a couple of Pizzas, picked them up and ate'em in the Yard of 'The Evers House' where we were staying. 'Meatza Pizza' - Smothered in Homemade Pizza Sauce, covered in Double Pepperoni, Double Canadian Bacon, Crumbled Bacon & Mozzarella Cheese. 'Mega Veggie' - Fresh Veggies top Homemade Crust. Topped with Bell Peppers, Black Olives, Roma Tomatoes, Purple Onions, Fresh Mushrooms. ---Spent the evening in the Backyard eating Pizza and drinking Wine. A Very Good Night. The 'Meatza Pizza' was okay, but not worth writing home about, had Double Pepperoni & Double Canadian Bacon and Crumbled BACON, but there was little Crumbled Bacon. The Dough was not great and very little Cheese. The 'Mega Veggie' Pizza Looked Really Fresh, Tasty and some Good Stuff. Didn't get any of this - it was gobbled up really fast. Wine Was Delicious - as it always is - and a Beautiful Texas Evening in Fredericksburg with Dear Friends.
One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Opted for butter garlic sauce instead of tomato and it was delicious. Toppings were a little lacking in quantity but I guess you can ask for extra. Cheese was plentiful. Service was good even though they were very busy. Beer was not cold. But overall good experience. Live music added bonus.
Rebecca was our waitress. She was not remotely personable. We made the mistake of sitting outside. Even with the nearly dead battery fly spinner and waving our arms all the time, we were over run with flies. I would guess 20 flies continually diving would be an understatement. Salt was solid. All shaker containers looked like they could use a good soak. We ordered 3 different pizzas and a large salad. Greasy, undercooked, wilted and no flavor were the comments we all offered up. It filled us up.
Great pizza in the Texas Hill country! We had dinner on Thursday night and enjoyed it thoroughly. Cool looking bar nice environment in our favorite Hill country spot Fredericksburg Texas. Will definitely be back...
We had the fried Mozzarella as an appetizer, a mint berry spritzer and the West End Pizza. The fried Mozzarella was perfect for an appetizer. As for the mint berry spritzer, I really couldn't taste any mint. The West End Pizza was cooked to perfection. The service was adequate and fast.
My wife and I took a wildflower hunting trip in April. We travel a lot around the country and like to try local pizza places. We always eat the same toppings, which are spinach, mushrooms, red onions, jalapenos, and basil. We visited Fredericksburg on April 13th and the pizza at West End was some of the best we've had. Atmosphere and service were great.
