We were recommended this place for lunch on a Wednesday around noon. There were plenty of guests, but we didn’t have to wait long for a seat inside. We had two burgers and the Thai shrimp tacos. The burgers were ok, but a bit dry and over priced. The one shrimp taco was ok, $6 per taco, but nothing special. Probably would skip this place on our next trip.
Me and my boys passed this place on the way back to SA from Enchanted Rock. Looked inviting from the street, and it was. The staff was nice, at us up a table for 4, and got our order quickly. They recommended the nachos and we all loved them. The burgers were great, good quality beef and other ingredients. They also have a thoughtful beverage menu for kids and adults. Service was a bit slow, but it was really busy when we went in, so I get it. They were very attentive and got us everything we needed with a great attitude. We'll be back when in the area.
Their Chili arbol salsa is to die for. The Carne asada tacos were phenomenal. The service was excellent and the beer was affordable with a great local selection. Excellent value for the quality and experience you are getting.
The food was good and our server was efficient and working very hard. I believe there could have been one more server added to the outdoor seating because it was pretty busy with larger groups so we waited a bit for drinks, appetizers but food came fairly quick after ordering. Overall good experience.
The food and drinks and atmosphere were great. I've seen complaints about no flavor but it was delicious to me.
This place rocks! A lot of us in our group, we all ordered differently, all loved it. Great outdoor patio table area, easy to bring the dogs. Real tasty homestyle burgers, good crunchy but moist and tender chicken fingers. But the one to get is the grilled lemon grass chicken sandwich. Layers of flavor! Will definitely be back to have that one again!
Tubby burger was fantastic. We left without paying ? Made it a couple of miles before we realized. Yes, we went back & will be back.
Great food and nice location if you're looking to eat on a patio. Loved the loaded fries and the goat taco was delicious. Flavors combined you haven't tried before. Great underrated Fredericksburg restaurant!
Looking for somewhere quick, easy, & relaxing to eat after a long visit to the Pacific War Museum, we wandered into Tubby's to a warm welcome by friendly staff. Servers were very attentive & our tasty nacho appetizer arrived quickly, followed not long after by our tacos. My husband's favorite was the fish taco, while mine was the shrimp. The carne asada one was a little on the chewy side. Thankfully we saved room for dessert, though, because reviews I'd seen regarding their churros were spot on. Only wished we'd had room for 2 orders!? Will definitely be back next time we're in the area & look forward to trying more of their menu options!
We were just passing through on our way west and happened to come across Tubby’s. We are so glad we did! The food and drink were excellent. I ordered the grilled fish taco which was delicious. The fried cheese curds were a delight. The churros plus that hot caramel sauce were… to die for! My partner has a food sensitivity to garlic and our server Zane took the extra time to check which foods had garlic in it. The service was quick and friendly (thank you Zane!). The atmosphere was cozy and spacious with lots of outdoor seating. I liked that it was off of Main Street and had ample parking. We will definitely be back if we ever pass through this area again. Thank you Tubby’s!
